So, if I had said my gut says she's mafia, that would have been okay? *shakes head* Maybe you missed my reason because I was mild in stating it. That's just my way.

 

There's rarely very much to go on on day 1. Her early reveal could easily have been a newbie mafia mistake. I don't know Kate and have no idea how much experience she has at this game.

well to be a little metagamey here me and kate were recently on a mafia team together

during the course of the game she played dumb (asked a lot of questions about what WIFOM was and what OMGUS was and such) and I think town for the most part bought it or just didn't take notice

so if it's possible she just made a mistake but it's also possible it wasn't a mistake and that seems to be her MO

it's hard to say either way though

Her voting position in the Kate bandwagon appears to be scummy to me. At this time, there really is not anyone who is pinging my scumdar more than any other player in this game. I will definitely be keeping my eyes closely on this thread. And if I see someone who is a better candidate for being scum than Lily is, then I shall vote for that person. Also, if my vote is needed to get a controlled lynch, then I shall do that as well.

FYI, from 5:30am through 4:30pm CST Monday through Friday, I am unable to be on the internet because of my hours at my job.

However, during the evenings, I am online most of the time every night, and I will post here when I feel like there is something worthwhile that I can contribute to this game.

personally I try not to look at vote positioning too hard as I tend to vote "whenever" regardless of alignment and I feel that most of the time others do the same

also I don't like the way votes are piling on lily at this time

I UNVOTE Lily because my vote seems to have gotten the attention of those who now want to use that vote as an excuse to think that I am scum.

Lily was no where near close to being lynched, and yet on this page, there are players wanting to lynch me just because I voted for Lily. That makes me suspicious of them. Why vote for me, instead of voting for the others whom have voted to lynch Lily?

lily doesn't have to be close to being lynched for people to question the motives of your vote

in this case people are finding your vote scummy

not because it was the X vote on a lily train but because they feel you have weak reasoning

I am going to VOTE Aemon, because his very first post in this game appears to very very very scummy to me. NOT because he voted for me, but because of the style and content of his post. If he would have voted for anyone else, I still would believe that he is scum because of the very strongly accusatory content and word twisting nature of his very first post in this game.

with vam... i detest half reveals, either reveal or don't, the half way stuff puts as big of a target on your back as does revealing fully.

the only reason to half reveal is to make yourself a target for the mafia as vanilla townie

or as a mafia who doesn't want to have to claim an important role like doc or cop and get counter claimed

 

if you haven't already I think you should just fully claim vam

A lot of you mention not liking my reveal... As a player trying to learn more and get better at Mafia, I'd like to know what would you all have done?

I am, so I didn't really fear making my claim. Should I have not mentioned vanilla? I felt that if I had kept that bit a secret, someone would have picked up on it and would bring it up anyway.

 

And, it's not like I could have ignored it either. That would have been as bad, if not worse, than what I did.

 

I'm sorry you all don't like it, but I did what I felt was the least bad thing to do. I came open and stated my alignment/lack of role.

once the mafia knows you're not a power role you're no longer an optimal target for a lynch

they can and will try to bandwagon on someone else

either to get them to claim like you did or get them lynched

and the fact that you claimed under very little pressure was probably the worst part

 

next time don't claim

if people find it suspicious let them

that's good

fight the lynch as best you can but don't claim

remember, mafia aren't going to listen to logic and reason anyway if they're out for blood

if you say the sky is blue they'll call you a liar and say that's scummy if they think they can get away with it

You seemed fine with it until you got voted. And to Unvote when you are so concerned at missing a deadline seems strange. You seem to be saying that you will vote as directed by the majority of the group. Surely that's just another way of saying you will join in any bandwagon that has already formed.

I have had no experience with post restrictions to my knowledge and therefore they seem rare enough that they shouldn't be the uhhhhh....popular? definition

Power roles are roles that are extremely valuable like Doctor or Cop. It is kinda subjective, but I wouldn't classify Lily's role as a power role.

a bomb for example is not a power role to me

Would it have made any difference to you all if I said that I was Mallet and the Healer? I doubt it, because I predict that most of you all would not have believed me, anyways. That's why I did only a half - reveal when the bandwagon against me was 4 or 5 votes. But, that did not stop the town and the mafia from leading a bandwagon against me.

the only people you get zero information from upon death are people who haven't posted or have only posted very little

 

a random death may not have a bandwagon on them but they still interacted with people and there is still information to find
