Other:

Personality: Meirgan is a an ambitious and rather hard headed youg woman. Her sights are always set on things ahead, and she rarely takes time to enjoy the moment, even when set goals have been achieved. This constant striving makes her come across as quite cold, due to the fact that when others would rejoice, and even celebrate, Meirgan's sights are already set on the next step.

Unfortunally, this also results in her having few, if any, friends. She realizes the reason, but can't help herself, since her burning ambition is such a big part of her personality.

Often times she feels alone, because despite her coming across as cold and calculating she really yerns for the company of others. Sadly, her peers rearely take to her for any length of time, since her personality doesn't lets her take part of everyday trivialities.

Optional

Special Skills: She reads well, and writes fair. She enjoys researching facts on different subjects and has therefor become quite well educated, especially for her family background. Her analytic skills have also been honed through her own efforts on understanding the world around her, thus making her able to warp circumstances to suit her.

Weaknesses: Her deep, but supressed, need for recognition. She would come across as aloft, but in reality she secretly hopes for people to love her. She just seems unable to make it so.

She also has a taste for wine, a biproduct of trying to relax and become more likeble. When this didn't work she stayed with the wine, but now in solitude and in an effort to dull the sadness that knaws in her chest. She goes to great lengths not to show this though, as it could ruin all she has worked for.

The taste of sand and smell of sun-burned grass brushed against her face as a gust of wind brought from the over the Spine raced through the streets of the city. The sun was at its highest and brought a slight tingle to the skin as Meirgan made her way through the street merchant and mid day shoppers. Occasionally smells of the road side stands would penetrate the background aroma of the city and the plains beyond it.

Clutching her books tighter, she crossed the street to get to her destination. The front of the two story building displayed the wooden sign of her parents shop, the breeze rocking is lazily in the heat that had set upon Cairhien.

The familiar sound of the bells on the door brought a sweet sting to her heart as she entered her childhood home for the last time in a long time, would she have her hopes realized. She stopped short and breathed in the, letting her gaze take it all in all the while trying to imprint it in her memory forever. Although she didn't realize it at the time, this simple action would bring her comfort in decades to come when the path she had chosen became overwhelming.

She shook her head to get over the doubts that had set in and briskly walked over to the small door that lead to the back of the store.

This is the time, she thought. I'm doing the right thing. Light, I hope I am.

Pushing her thoughts and doubts away, she crossed the threshold to the back room and tried to remember everything she had thought out in the candle light of her room. She dreaded the conversation to come, but also knew it was long overdue.

Light, let this be the time.

The rocking of the wagon suddenly stopped and the merchant driver turned in his seat.

"We are here, lass" he told her while he gathered the reins in one hand. "You take care now, and remember what I told you. Go straight to The Woman and talk to Alsa. Tell her I sent you there and she will see to it you get a good meal and a room, all at a fair price. Go on now, ain't got all day you know." The plump merchant chuckled at his own wittiness. Considering the pace they had been keeping after exiting Cairhien, Meirgan doubted he was in any hurry to get to the borderlands.

"Thank you, Larc. I'll find it."

Meirgan took her bundle of belongings and jumped down the back of the wagon. She felt her knees complain at the sudden movement, and had to force herself not to wince. This would surely have set of another wave of exhortations about being careful from the fatherly merchant.

For some reason he had taken a liking to Meirgan. She figured it was due to the fact that she had kept quiet and nodded throughout the hours of one sided conversation. A skill she had developed for making people think she was listening while in fact she was thinking of other things. He probably considered her daft. Meirgan cared not; all she could think of was the test ahead.

She had read about it, at least what there was to find in the common libraries of Cairhien.

Absently giving the merchant a smile while waving him off, she turned around and started for the bridge leading to the city of Tar Valon. She had no intention whatsoever to visit the inn he had recommended. Her path was leading elsewhere.

Stopping just outside the wall, she thought back on the farewell she had given her parents. Her father had silent for the duration of her announcement, then turned around and left the shop. Her mother had started to cry and clutched her tight, something Meirgan had never been comfortable with. She was much her father's daughter in that.

Putting aside thoughts of her parents, she started to walk through the gate that would put her on the inside of the most influential city of the world. Her destination lay at the heart of that power. The White Tower.

A novice who likes her wine, eh? I can tell this one is destined for trouble! CC'ed by the Warders!

Yep, that's the plan

Not sure how big a part that will play in her personality, but it's something to play with at times. The more flaws, the merrier.
