Well, here I am.

After lurking in DM and WoTmania for several years, I decided to start writing... at last.

I come from an ex-communist country and during my childhood there were simply no fantasy novels in the bookstores. My first touch with fantasy was with Bilbo Bagins... A comix of the Hobbit! And I totally loved it. Then the communism fell and in 1990, for my 11th b-day a friend of mine *knowing I was a bookworm and a book nerd* chose a random book from the shelf in the store and made me a present. It appeared to be no other than "The Fellowship of the Ring". Strangely, I had to wait 3 more years until I could find the other two parts translated and published. But since that day my life changed completely and I was lost in fantasy. I was in constant search for more and more fantasy novels and after several years I started feeling disappointed because everything was basically copying Tolkien and the writing was arguably just "satisfactory".

In December 1998 I went for a Christmas shopping and I found a "new" big fantasy novel with a marvelous cover! You all know what I'm talking about!

DKS covers may be crap usually but tEoTW cover is just great. And I bought it with my last money leaving just enough to buy a ticket to my grandparent's village for Christmas. I was a second year student in Sofia Medical Faculty by the time and I had an exam in statistics on the next day (the most stupid exam ever, I really don't understand why do medical students have to study statistics). It's pointless to say that I went to the exam totally unprepared and sleepy "for each volume of the Wheel of Time is to be read in a couple of sleepless nights". The only reason I passed the exam is that a friend of mine provided me with some cheat sheets. It is the only time in my study that I have used such a "device" and I'm never proud of this. But I just could not get my eyes off the book. The volumes came out regularly tFoH was on the shelves right before my anatomy exam but this time I was prepared for it and started studying much earlier so I got an excellent mark. I thought that LoC would be the last and then... what the...

The waiting has begun.

After RJ's death I was sooo disappointed that I will never see the end, so I started lurking in the forums for news. And when rumours for TGS spread i decided to read as much as possible for the WOT universe in English, because I couldn't afford waiting for the translated version (it was 6 more months!) so I had to get into the correct terminology.

And now, for me it is time to start arguing and theorizing!

I SEE YOU

Cheat! *Sniffs, tugs braid and adjust skirts*

Welcome to DM, Master - I thoroughly enjoyed reading your introduction, I must say. And Stats was my least favourite subject at university too *shudders in remembrance*.

Hope we'll see you around the Social or Role Playing boards too
