Okay how wicked awesome was the opening!!!! The plan crash from the others perspective. The rest of the episode was a little confusing but that is what I like about the show. Have I mentioned I really like Ben (Unhenry) as a character.

I will have a recap tomorrow that I will post, something my friend puts together.

Sweet!

This episode makes the 3rd season look way promising.

Especially when Ben told Kate "The next two weeks will be very unpleasant..." :D

Almost felt a bit sorry for Sawyer

Why is Sawyer there? Actually is it just coincidence that everyone involved in their love triangle is there? There must be something important about these three we are missing, other than being the hottest people on the show.

Well, Sawyer's being there got a bit more motivated with ep 2.

Kate is a bit more of a mystery, unless there's something I've forgotten.

Cool locke episode. I got the feeling that the scene where he couldn't shoot the cop will have great importance in the future. Especially now that he seems to embrace that he is a Hunter.

And great to see that Mr Eco is alive. I was convinced he would survive, but it was nice to get confirmation.

Did we finish that locke flashback? I mean he let the kid go and then..... I felt like we didn't finish the whole flashback in some way. What happened at the compound?

Well, there are really only two alternatives, either someone else killed the kid, and kicked Locke out, or Locke took aff while the cops came.

I am quite convinced that the most important part of that flashback was two things, to plant Locke saying that he is a Hunter, and his decision to let the kid go.

Another cool episode. Almost starting to feel a wee bit sorry for sawyer, he's been beaten up more than the rest put together

So, who does the tumour Jack saw belong to? I think Ben is a good candidate, though it is just a hunch I've got.

And another glimpse of Desmond's new psychic abilities. First he "pre-heard" Locke's speech the last episode, now he apparently foresaw the storm. What's up with that?

Note the red flowers that show up before someone dies.

So why did the Island kill Ecko? Was he beyond saving?

And was the guy with the eye patch Nathan Fillion?

I may have been distracted when I watched the episode before this... but where are Jin and Sun? Why is Sayid back and not them?

Also, Clancy Brown (creepy Brother Justin in "Carnivale") is listed as playing two different roles in Lost, "Joe Inman" in "One of Them" (the US guy who makes Sayid learn how to torture), and "Kelvin Inman" in "Live Together Die Alone" (where we find out about the guy who lived in the hatch pre-Desmond). Why the different names/characters?

There is a difference between Eko and the others who have interacted with the island in the same way, Eko was angry, and even chased after it. Perhaps it was a kind of a defence mechanism?

I didn't see Jin and Sun either, but perhaps they returned at the same time as sayid, only they were not important to show. I mean, if something had happened to them during the travel back, we would have heard about it, either seeing it happen, or have Sayid very eager to tell everyone about it. It's not like the producers are lazy when it comes to showing someone being killed or kidnapped...

As for Inman, he probably just used different names when he were doing different things. Like Ben/Henry.

Sorry, here is the answer to the Kelvin and Joe Inman thing. His name is really Kelvin Joe Inman according to official Lost Podcast.

Well now we have killed off all the tail survivors but Bernard... could he be next?

Show starts a week from tomorrow, so I am bumping the post. Any ideas on what might be coming.

I heard a rumor that Matthew Fox is going to get killed off.

He isn't. He's not going to be in it for 4 weeks whilst he shoots a movie though, so he's only going to appear briefly in pre-recorded segments.

I wasn't impressed with episodes 1-6. Aside from Eko's death and finding out that the smoke monster can take on human form (which we kind of already knew, but nice to have it confirmed) and may be behind all the visions and strange hallucinations on the island, we found out little of long-term value to the main storyline. They need to kick the show into gear. Episode 12 of this season is the exact halfway point of the whole series and they need to start picking up the pace. Enough of the setting up of mysteries, we need answers!

the smoke monster can take on human form? did I totally miss something?

I found Eko's death to be unspectacular, even if it did confirm Emp's theory that there is red in scenes where people die.

The smoke monster was in the form of Yemi, Eko's brother. "You speak to me as if I am your brother." He then walks off. Eko pursues and crashes straight into the smoke monster (aka Cerberus, according to the blast door map in Season 2). From this we can infer that the smoke monster was also Yemi in the episode '?' from Season 2 (when both Locke and Eko saw him) and it's easy to deduce from there that the following people/apparitions may also be the monster:

Hurley's imaginary friend, Dave.

Kate's horse.

The image of Walt that led Shannon to her death (though this may have 'just' been Walt psychic-projecting).

Charlie's various visions and hallucinations.

Boone when he appeared to Locke in the sweat lodge.

Jack's father (especially since the monster apparently used Yemi's body, which was missing from the plane, to take on his form, and Jack's father's body was likewise missing from the plane).

hrrrm. I see what you're sayin' now. I guess I dont' really have "lost-brains" as in, I tend to just sit back and take things as they come. I think it's because I am used to watching them on DVD or DVR all back to back and not pondering over things week by week.

Yunjin Kim on Lost

Source: Crave Online

February 6, 2007

Crave Online talked to Yunjin Kim, who plays Sun Kwon in ABC's "Lost," which starts the second half of season three on Wednesday. Here are a few clips:

Crave Online: What's your theory?

Yunjin Kim: You know, I gave up on having a theory. You know, I thought, this has got to be a scientific experiment. And now we know so much more about the Others, I don't think so. I don't think that's the case. But I'm sure this is what JJ and Damon and Carlton struggle with. They probably have come up with one solution, and then if someone guessed it on one of those message boards, it's like, "Whoops. We can't say that, because that look like we're [copying]."

Crave Online: So they change it midstream?

Yunjin Kim: Yeah. I mean, I think they know their destination, as far as how they're gonna get there. Whether they take the 101 or the 405, it's up to you. But the destination is always gonna be Santa Monica, or something.

Crave Online: Can you tell us about any of the drama that's going on your side of the island while Jack, Kate and Sawyer were away?

Yunjin Kim: Oh, you mean storyline?

Crave Online: Yes. Is it something as intense as what the three are going through?

Yunjin Kim: Yeah, it's pretty intense but they do come back. That's all I can say. And then we go back.
