I never got the feeling that Logain still thought that he was the Dragon Reborn.

 

Where are the Aes Sedai that he bonded? with him? they must be right or Rand or one of the guys at the BT would have been able to locate him pretty easily.

I don't know if this has ever been theorized before so apologies if it has.

 

I think Logain's "glory" and Rand's dying are tied together. One of the big themes over the course of the series is that as time goes on history becomes myth and no one remembers correctly what really happened in the past. I think that Logain will be remembered as being the Dragon Reborn and being the one who saved the world. I think Rand will be remembered as a false dragon who nearly destroyed the world. Rand's death will by symbolic rather than literal and he will quietly disappear from public view to live a long but quiet life.
