Smallville.

It's the final season. I've been watching since season 1. So far the only thing I'm not really liking is the villain they chose. Or the way they're portraying him. Not sure if I'm allowed to say who it is, or I guess more accurately, who it's based on. So I'll wait till I find that out. I'm also not too crazy about where Oliver/Green Arrows story line went this last Ep.

Well, the villain will be more like his true self later in the series, apparently it takes some time for him to regain his physical form.

As for Ollie, they seem to have confused him with Tony Starkbiggrin.gif

Well I know in the premiere when he coalesced he looked like he's supposed to. But this whole smoky cloud of evil wanting to take control of a Kryptonian..Mehh. Have you seen read somewhere that he's going to be more like the real thing later on?

But yeah, I know lol. I'm thinking there will be some memory altering thing or people won't believe it and he'll have a change of heart and let them think he made it up. Something like that.

I am a sucker for spoilers, so yes, I have read that he will become more like his true self. What they are being vague about is when that will happen. It would kinda suck if he fully grows into it in the final episode or so. Hopefully it will at least be something like season 8, where they showed Doomsday quite early.

And Ollies revelation...IIRC, his identity is known in the DC comics, so he might very well stay public. I think we will get a massive hint about it in tonights episode.

As I said, we got quite a hint about what Ollies revelation would lead to in Homecomingbiggrin.gif

As sidenote, I have seen some speculations that the increased exposure of his face, rather than the hood&goggles is a preparation for a planned GA movie with Justin Hartley. Now that would be a boatload of awesome.

Ehh..To each their own I suppose. But there are other characters I would rather see a movie made about than GA. That's just me though. :]

I liked the *highlight for spoilers/ whole glimpse of the future thing, with uptight more into the disguise Clark/ lol.

Well, when it comes to what I would most want to see as a movie, is Tom Welling and Erica Durance being picked for Chris Nolans Superman-reboot. When she was brought in, I was not too impressed by EDs acting, but she has really grown into it, and the interaction between her and TW just gets better and better. And I would really love to see TW get a shot at playing Superman proper, after ten years as Clark Kent.

That said, I think GA would work great as a spinoff movie. His arc in Smallville has made it easy for the writers to explain a relocation to Star City, which would give him a completely new playground, and it could be tied more to the comics.

Btw, did you notice the nice nod to the original Superman movie?

Ok, the revelation about Tess' background was a bit silly, IMO. It better lead to something epic, otherwise it was just ridicilous. Of course, having read some spoiler for the coming seasons, I happen to know that the passenger in the limo will appear in Ep.10, so...*crosses fingers*

But damn, Granny Goodness was one scary lady. Hope we get to see a lot more of her.

The lass with the claws is the Smallville version of Mad Harriet, the other one does not ring a bell. IIRC, most of the furies where from Apokalipsed, and thus naturally stronger than humans. Most of them also has other powers. But, Smallville is not exactly a stranger to changing stuff as they see fit. Just take Clark and Lois being in a relationship, although they should not even meet until Clark is around 30 if we look at the comics.Or Doomsday, who killed Superman. Smallville-Clark may be on the path, but he is certainly not Supes yet.

Trick is to watch Smallville as inspired by, rather than based on the comics.

I am starting to worry that the writers might be tossing a bit much into the mix. With half a season to go, we have Earth-2 Lionel, a Lex-clone, a growing anti-superhero movement, Granny goodness and her furies, and of course Darkseid himself to deal with. While Clark does not even know how to fly yet. Of course, Lex does not really have to be dealt with, as he should be left alive for the future Offscreenville. But the rest...I am worrying a bit that they will rush things. especially considering that they seem to have cut budget a lot, which affects the number of CGI.scenes.

But then, it is the final season, and I am sure everyone involved wants to go out with a bang.

Ooo, great episode. Hawkman vs Slade was one of the best fights in a lo-o-ong time on the show. And Hawkman got to go out as a real hero, that shot when he flies down with burning wings was epic.

But what the hell was that white pyramid in the end? Considering that Clark is supposed to be immune to everything except kryptonite and magic, my gut tells me something wacky is up with that thingy.

Very good finale. With one exception - the suit. Dammit Welling, after 10 years, was wearing the suit for just a few seconds too much to ask? Instead we got crappy CGI, and the final shot was probably just a tshirt bought from the local mall.

But ok, Welling wanted the show to be anout Clark Kent, and now he can honestly say that he has never played Superman, only CK.

Quite happy about the rest of the finale though.
