OOC: hello everyone! for a little background on my character follow the yellow brick road, or this link here... http://aiel.aliciawilkerson.com/viewtopic.php?t=160

Cor entered the hold with a wordless shout followed by laughter, as his ever-present companion Nei’din roared alongside him. The young lion was fully two summers old now, and had grown huge during the months of their latest journey. Weighing better than six hundred stone, the young male was already larger than most fully grown adults.

With Nei’din’s roar echoing from the hold’s walls, Cor looked upon his home for the first time in several months and entered the vibrant hub of his childhood. Easily loping through the entry way he looked toward his father’s roof. He longed to see his father’s face and relate his recent adventures, but first he had other business to attend to.

In his travel bag, carefully packed away, was a bouquet of incredibly rare flowers from high on the peaks of the Dragonwall. Cor had first seen pictures of the flowers in a book he had borrowed from the Wise One, Alisis, and he had thought it a wonderful idea to go and pick a few for her as a surprise. The marathon trek was rewarded with a handful of trumpet gentians, their clusters of royal blue open-mouthed petals soaking up the radiant warmth of a hot summer sun, and a double handful of fleur de crocus, their petals a dainty snow-white and vivid purple.

He had spent the last several months on the rigorous journey, with a few sidetracks along the way, and his first priority was delivering his gift to the amazing woman. Also, he had picked up a few other surprises for some of his friends, his favorite mentor- an elder Far Aldazar Din, and of course a couple of Maidens he enjoyed spending time with.

Slowing his pace, and ceasing his self-reflection, Cor strode through the hold eager to finish his quest.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Her morning chores complete Reyala had hoped to have a free day and visit her near sister Covina. She worried about the woman who was constantly being punished. Her near sister still resisted being an apprentice and could not seem to let go the spears.
Truth be told it took Reyala many punishments herself before she embraced her fate. Finishing watering the herbs in Alisis’s garden she wove a faint weave of saidar and replaced the water container back on the table. Smoothing out her skirts the apprentice hurried toward the stairs to seek out Covina. Just as she reached the doorway a familiar voice called out her name.
“Reyala!†Cringing at the summons from the head wise one she sighed and turned back toward the garden. Alisis stood with her hands on her hips waiting for her with a suspicious look on her face.
“Have you been channeling child?†Reyala felt the heat rise in her cheeks and cast her eyes downward. “You and the one power child, how many times must you be punished?â€
“Forgive me Wise One my mind was on my near sister and I did so without thinking.†Alisis grunted and shook her head. “We will speak of this later for now I need you to go fetch me a young man who has just arrived. His name is Cor and he should have just come from Deep Shade Hold. Fetch him for me and tell him to leave his lion outside.â€
Reyala started at the Wise One as if she was mad. “Lion?†Alisis chuckled. “Yes child the man fancies a lion as a companion.â€
Bowing the Apprentice quickly left the garden and made her way toward the entrance of the hold. She had danced the spears with lions many times and did not see how one could be a pet or tamed.
The hold was busy with activity the ringing of a blacksmith’s hammer sounded in the distance. Children played in the streets and all around adults hurried about their days activities. As she neared the hold entrance Reyala found a tall young man with a lion at his side. Shaking her head in wonder she approached him.
“I see you Cor†The young man smiled and greeted her back in kind. Reyala sniffed as she had been taught so well to do and studied him for a moment. “I am Reyala Apprentice to Alisis please come with me and leave your lion outside. There is no place for such a beast under the roof of the head Wise One.†Without waiting for a response she turned to lead him to Alisis.
Reyala
Apprentice
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Before Cor had gone very far, a very attractive young woman dressed as a Wise One’s apprentice approached him shaking her head. If he didn’t know better, he would have thought she was surprised to see him and Nei'din. It couldn’t be, though, as she stepped squarely in front of him with her hands on her hips.

“I see you Cor,†she stated firmly, eyeballing him up and down. Cor smiled briefly, thinking, “She would have to either see me, or she would have walked over the top of me.â€

“I see you Wise One’s apprentice,†Cor replied grinning again, obviously giving her a thorough look over as well.

Giving a sharp sniff, the attractive apprentice studied him a bit longer before adding, “I am Reyala, apprentice to Alisis. Please come with me and leave your lion outside. There is no place for such a beast under the roof of the head Wise One.†Then without waiting for a response, she turned and began walking away.

Smiling once again, because what he saw from this angle looked just as good, Cor turned to Nei’din and murmured, “Go find some shade little brother. I might be a while. And try not to eat anyone.†Then turning, he loped after the apprentice who wasn’t wasting any time making her way to the Wise One.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Alisis stood in the corner of the roof surrounded by several gaishain holding bowls and baskets. Unlike the rest of the cavernous room the floor here was bare dirt and racks of herbs and flowers dominated, drying in the relative coolness of the roof. The Wise One turned as Reyala and Cor entered and with a glance the gaishain silently departed, baskets and bowls overflowing, eyes downcast.
“I see you Cor,†Alisis gestured toward the seating area arranged around a low wooden table. “Here is shade and water, be at ease.†Reyala sat to Alisis’ right and gracefully poured three cups.
“I have spoken with the Wise Ones of your Sept about this companion of yours,†leaving her water untouched Alisis regarded the young warrior with inscrutable eyes, “I understand the extroadinary circumstances that occurred and why you were allowed to keep and care for such a creature. However, I must make certain you understand your obligation to the Hold.â€
Her green eyes hardened and the Wise One twitched at her shawl as she leaned forward, “A cub is no threat to anyone but a full grown lion is something else entirely. What shall you do if it becomes necessary for you to choose between the lion and the safety of your people?â€
OOC: Welcome Cor! RP away hun – I know several people are waiting to post so feel free to npc Alisis a bit and search out other Aiel. I apologize for the short post but we lost power for almost 24 hours and I’m desperately trying to catch up. Find shade!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

As Cor entered the Wise One’s roof with Reyala, the gai’shain hurriedly departed with their heads bowed meekly. “I see you Cor,†Alisis said formally and, gesturing to the seating area, seated herself. “Here is shade and water, be at ease.â€

Cor took the water that Reyala offered him, holding it without drinking. He noticed the Wise One didn’t sip from her cup either, so he anticipated a serious discussion was to follow.

Before he could reach over his shoulder for his travel bag, Alisis confirmed his guess. “I have spoken with the Wise Ones of your Sept about this companion of yours. I understand the extraordinary circumstances that occurred and why you were allowed to keep and care for such a creature. However, I must make certain you understand your obligation to the Hold.

Focusing her green eyes into him, the Wise One shifted her shawl before finishing her thoughts. “A cub is no threat to anyone, but a full grown lion is something else entirely. What shall you do if it becomes necessary for you to choose between the lion and the safety of your people?â€

Cor sat silently for the briefest of moments, looking into the table as if for answers. “Wise One, you know as well as I that there is no choice to be made. Just as if I were to turn to the shadow I would be destroyed though it broke my father’s heart, if Nei’din were to turn on the Dragonmount clan I would deal with him, though I would weep for it.â€

Pausing again, Cor added another thought on the subject. “You also know, Wise One, that he has already done what any true Aiel warrior would do. He has placed himself in harm’s way to save the weak.â€

Raising his gaze to look into hers, Cor finished calmly, “My little brother is no more of a threat than I am or ever will be.â€

Alisis’ eyes widened slightly for the briefest of moments at the strength in the young warrior’s stare. “How right you are, I hope you never learn,†she thought to herself, “The Dream is often murky. I can only hope I have read it wrongly, but I named the boy Cor for a reason. Let us hope the darkness inside him never wakens.â€

“Come,†said the Wise One briskly, rising to her feet. “Drink and be welcome to the hold. Then be on your way. I’m sure you have other things to do, and I have much to attend to. And an apprentice who can’t seem to remember what she should already know,†turning toward her apprentice, Alisis looked to have forgotten him already.

Cor quickly gulped down his cup of water. Then, digging in his travel bag, he pulled out his surprise gift and placed it on the table without unwrapping it. “May you always find water and shade Wise One.†Then, ducking out of the roof, he scanned the area for the next person on his list.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Quickly spotting a group of boys running and playing, Cor made his way towards them. If he guessed correctly, both Nei’din and Andric would be nearby. For some reason, Nei’din had taken to the small boy, and Andric returned the feelings with enthusiasm. During Cor’s rare visits to the hold, the two inevitably found each other. Whether the boy would be wrestling the huge cat or Nei’din would just be lying in the shade watching the small boy run with the older children, Cor knew they wouldn’t be far apart.
Sure enough, as Cor approached the group of youngsters, a dirt-covered boy broke away from the game of chase and leapt into his arms. “I see you Cor!†piped the four-year-old Andric. “Where have you been? Do you have any stories? Did you find the Green Man?â€
Laughing at the endless questions, Cor placed the boy on the ground. “I do have a few stories, but those will have to wait. First I have a surprise for you,†and reaching into his travel bag, Cor pulled out a small wrapping. Handing it to Andric, Cor smiled. “I hope you like it.â€
Hurriedly tearing the wrappings off, Andric shouted with joy as he held up ivory figurines of an Aiel warrior and a lion.
“That’s so you and Nei’din can play together even when he’s gone away with me,†Cor explained. “Now go put them under your roof so you don’t lose them, and I’ll look for you a bit later. Now Nei’din and I must finish greeting a few friends.â€
Scampering away with his new treasures, Andric paused just long enough to give the huge lion a hug before disappearing into the depths of the hold. Cor, meanwhile, began walking through the crowd with his eyes out for anyone else he wished to see before meeting his father for supper.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ramza stared at teh lion cub and smiled, walking up to the you ng warrior he said, "I see you Cor, my name is Ramza and would you like to have a small amount of fun iwth me?"

Ramza needed a partner in crime and Cor seemed the right type, the Wise Ones would be furrios with the pranks, and he Maidens would be throwing wreaths at thier feet in no time.

"But first why not come to my foster mothers (you could now politely ask her name if you wished since i brought her up) roof. I have just recently bought some strange drink for peddelers and would love to have someoen to share them with. You lion is welcomeed to come as well if he chooses."

There was a buzz of gossip in the hold. Krachend stepped out of the Sovin Nai roof and into a hushed conversation about "the boy with the lion" and his return to the hold. Hmm, that can only mean Cor, Krachend mused. Argono had told him about the young man and the circumstances surrounding his attachment to the lion, although Krachend himself had never met him. It appeared to be a good time to change that.

Finding the man was not too difficult; the rumors began flying faster the nearer he approached Cor's last known location. As he came to the area where the children played, Krachend finally found the man. It seemed, though, that Ramza, the newest warrior to the sept, had found him first. Krachend only managed to hear the other man say, "... if he chooses."

"I see you, Cor. I am Krachend, second to Argono. I see you, Ramza." With a small smile, he added, "Be careful. That one will have the ugliest woman in the hold after you before you can blink."

Ghaul was on his way back to his roof when unusual noise comming from the direction of the children's ground caught his attention.He saw three men there,and a lion.Not a cub,but what seemed as a full grown lion.Ghaul was certain that the kids were not in any danger,not with three warriors arround.Any of those men could handle the lion if it began making trouble.As he headed towards the three warriors the lion fixed his eyes on Ghaul.Without stopping the clan chief returned the look.The two looked each other from head to toe,or from head to tailtip in Ghaul's case, and then broke eye contact.When Ghaul joined the warriors they were laughing at the joke Krachend has made.Something about being chased by the ugliest woman in the Hold.

"Well being chased by the ugliest woman in the Hold is perfectly fine" - three puzzeled looks shot at him - "As long as she does not catch you that is."- the men errupted with laughter once more. - "I see you Krachend,I see you Ramza,and I see you Cor,I am Ghaul,the clan chief.It is nice to see you've returned.How was your tip to the mountains?"

ooc:Welcome to the Division Cor,I am sure you'll fit right in

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Everyone laughed at the joke, ramza smiled, "Oh adn do be careful cor, for if you go off with him he might try to throw a knife, but hit himself in the foot instead."
That got a good laugh, "I see you clan chief, is there any news that we can hear from you, a raid perhaps"
Ramza was waiting eaget to join in now that he was a warrior.
Before he had gone far, Cor was hailed by a young warrior he had never seen before. “I see you Cor, my name is Ramza and would you like to have a small amount of fun with me?†asked the very excited youngster, barely pausing for a breath.
Looking the young warrior up and down, Cor noted that he was a Stone Dog although more hyper than most of them tended to be. “I see you Ramza,†he replied with a small grin, thinking to himself that it would be easy to find fun and trouble with the eager warrior. “What kind of fun did you have in mind?â€
"But first why not come to my foster mother’s roof,†said Ramza anxiously as if he didn’t here Cor’s reply. “I have just recently bought some strange drinks from some peddlers and would love to have someone to share them with. Your lion is welcome to come as well, if he chooses."
Cor was laughing out loud at the excitement in Ramza’s voice when he noticed an older warrior walk up. "I see you, Cor,†stated the newcomer formally. “I am Krachend, second to Argono. I see you, Ramza." With a small smile, he added to Cor, "Be careful. That one will have the ugliest woman in the hold after you before you can blink."
Laughing even harder, Cor replied, “Yeah I can see that.†He had never met Krachend before, but he was eager to visit with the Knife Hand. The older man’s travels were possibly even more far-ranging than his own, and it would be good to learn from his experience. But before he could respond to Kranchend’s greeting, the clan chief himself approached the laughing group with a studious gaze at Nei’din and a quick joke of his own.
"Well being chased by the ugliest woman in the Hold is perfectly fine,†affirmed the clan chief with a slight pause, “as long as she does not catch you that is." Cor and his two companions erupted with laughter once more. "I see you Krachend, I see you Ramza, and I see you Cor,†added the clan chief formally, before adding unnecessarily to Cor, “I am Ghaul, the clan chief. It is nice to see you've returned. How was your tip to the mountains?"
“I see you clan chief,†replied Cor. “My trip went well, although it took longer than I expected. It is nice to receive such an enjoyable welcome home, though. It’s been too long since I enjoyed the shade at my father’s roof.†Turning to Krachend, he added, “I would like very much to visit with you if you’re not too busy over the next few days.â€
Out of the corner of his eye, Cor noticed the attractive wise one’s apprentice who had ushered him to Alisis’ roof trying to beat the life out of a dusty rug. “Ramza, it sounds like it would be entertaining to share your drink, but first I’m going to see if I can find someone pretty to come with me.†Turning back to the two older men Cor said, “It was good to see you. May you both find water and shade this day, and Krachend think about when would be a good time to sit and talk.â€
And with that, with Nei’din bounding after him, Cor trotted over to chat with the furious-looking, but still very lovely, apprentice who looked like she was trying to kill the rug with her beater.
As he was leaving, Cor overheard Ramza tease the clan chief and ask about a possible raid. Reminding himself to ask Ramza about this later, Cor put on his most charming smile and approached Reyala, with thoughts of sharing a visit to the sweat tent uppermost in his mind.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

With a scowl on her face Reyala beat the rug in front of her causing clouds of dust to rise from it. How much easier this would be if the Wise One’s let her use the one power to do her chores. But it was using the one power without permission that earned her this task in the first place.

The hold was bustling with activity as people hurried about their daily business. A group of men huddled around the clan chief not far off and Reyala recognized one of them as the young man she had taken to Alisis earlier. He still had that ridiculous beast with him she saw. If he did not watch it one of her former spear sisters would dance with the lion. That caused Reyala to laugh as she finished beating the run.

Out of the corner of her eye she noticed the young man approaching her with the lion in tow. Putting down the beater Reyala turned to face him placing her hands on her hips. “Can I help you Cor?†The sharp tone in her voice caused a smile to spread across the man’s face.

“I see you Reyala.†He greeted warmly. Sniffing the Apprentice picked up her beater. “Of course you see me Cor. You see me beating rugs.†Giving the rug a solid hit she turned her back on him. After a moment when he did not leave she turned back to him. “Do you require something of me or do you just enjoy watching a rug being beaten? If you enjoy it so well why not beat the rugs yourself? I am sure I could find something more interesting to do if I had free time.â€

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Well, I must admit that you make watching a rug getting beaten more enjoyable than I could have ever imagined,†Cor quipped in response. “I, personally, do not enjoy cleaning rugs in the least. However, since I agree wholeheartedly that we could both find something much more enjoyable to do, I have a proposal. I will help you finish your chores, if you agree to spend some quality time with me later this evening. I’m sure we can come up with something fun to do.â€
Giving the lovely Reyala a wink and a grin, Cor bent down and picked up a rug beater and bounced it on his palm. Looking at her calmly, Cor patiently waited to see what the fiery apprentice had to say. He didn’t, however, miss the fact that her garments clung to her sweaty body in a very appreciable way while she stood there with her hands on her hips, staring at him with an arched eyebrow. Did he detect a slight hint of amusement?
“Well, Reyala, what do you think of my idea?â€
She watched from the sidelines, her viel haning from her shota (?) that was wrapped around her hair, keeping the loose strands of her long curly white hair from her sun kisses face. Anouther has come to thier tents. And he was much louder than some that have passed through. Harder to predict, these loud ones. The surface is easy, but thier intentions hidden by thier heart that 'sits' on thier sleeve.
"Talbatha!"
She turned around and smiled at one of her sisters.
"A game perhaps, A Maidens kiss with the new one? It would be a fair welcome to our Sept."
Talbatha chuckled softly, "It would not be fair for me to challenge someone like him to the game. He looks far too slow to be of any match to me."
The other girl laughed. "I'll give you one thing, Talbs, you are fast!"
"Only best by my sisters." She said with a wink. The woman laughed and started wwalking away, spear in hand.
"Later Talbs, i'l see you in the tents."
Talbatha waved and then turned to watch as the new one started to converse with one of the other men. She fingered her spear with an unconsous familiarity. A man to be watched. One not to take her spear away.
Just as Reyala opened her mouth to respond, the Wise One Alisis came out of her roof in a fury. Striding toward the pair, she came to a stop in front of Cor jerking her shawl as if she was fighting to not strangle him with it. “What are you doing?†she demanded. Before he could respond, she added, “Be gone. Reyala has much to do and will get none of it finished with you getting in the way!â€
Enduring the tirade with a slight smile, Cor bowed his head slightly, responding “As you wish, Wise One. Perhaps I can visit with your apprentice a little bit later.†And with a grin at the still furious Wise One, and a wink at her apprentice, he strode back down the hill toward where he had left Ramza, Krachend, and the clan chief, Nei‘din striding alongside.
The trio was still laughing as Cor approached, eyes scanning the surrounding area out of habit from his long travels alone through the Waste. Listening to the humorous conversation with half an ear, Cor noticed a Maiden crouching alone near the roof of the Maidens looking in his direction. He didn’t know her personally, but he did know of her reputation. The curly, thick head of snow white hair meant it had to be Talbatha, and he had seen her run enough to know she was nearly as fast as he was, and with a lucky break or two might even beat him. Watching the young warrior chatting with one of her spear sisters before returning to fingering her spear and looking back toward him, Cor allowed himself to be drawn back into the other men’s discussion. “I wonder what she wants?†he thought to himself. He had no doubt that he would find out very soon if it was important to her, because Maidens usually let you know exactly what they thought of you.
Turning his thoughts back to the conversation he was missing, he asked the clan chief “How do you deal with a Wise One with sore teeth? The Wise One Alisis almost bit my head off earlier like she had missed out on lunch or something.â€
The others burst out with laughter, and Cor thought, “It is good to be home again.â€
“How do you deal with a Wise One with sore teeth? The Wise One Alisis almost bit my head off earlier like she had missed out on lunch or something.â€
Cor's question caused Ghaul to errupt in laughter/.before he could answer Ramza replied.
"Well you could ask her is she needed help with the apprentice mabey walk in on a sweat tent and show yourself off. Who knows it might work... But the best bet is to just steer clear of her"
Ghaul could not help it but to continue to laugh.He quickly settled and prepared his reply.
"What Ramza suggested is very wise.It is very smart to steer clear of the Wise Ones.However I do not have the luxury of that option.Plus the Wise Ones are not as bad as they initially appear."
That won him a look by the two young warrior,and a smile from Krachend.
"Well to answer your question - when talking with Wise Ones,with sore tooth or not,a few things matter.One is to never lose your composure.Second - to keep an open mind about what she says.Third - to keep your ground.Be calm,be confident,and the conversation will go smoothly.That's what my expirience of dealing with the Wise Ones has taught me."
By the look on their faces Ghaul could tell that the warriors were thinking of trying this next time they have to deal with a Wise Ones.While they were thinking Ghaul wondered how long will it be until the Maiden's send someone to ask Cor for a game,a game which was by now their official welcome procedure.After all,they have been watching Cor for quite a while now.Ghaul could not help it but to smile.
"Cor,it seems that your arrival has caught the eyes of the Maidens too.It will be soon that they will send someone to ask you for a special welcome.And I think I know just who will they send." - Ghaul smiled again as he got an idea.He looked at the three warriors before him. - "Tell me,have you ever played a game of reversed Maiden's Kisses?"
Finally catching his breath after laughing at the men’s jokes, Cor listened thoughtfully to the advice of the clan chief. Ghaul was regarded as a great warrior, but an even wiser leader. So anything he suggested was worth trying out, but standing up to a Wise One would be like trying to catch an avalanche. Still, he would try it the next time he couldn’t avoid meeting with a Wise One.
What the clan chief said next caught him by surprise. "Cor, it seems that your arrival has caught the eyes of the Maidens, too.†Cor had noticed just the one Maiden watching him, but hadn’t considered that he was of any special interest. “It will be soon that they will send someone to ask you for a special welcome,†Ghaul continued. “And I think I know just who will they send," Ghaul paused slightly and his face cracked in a smile. Looking at the three other warriors he posed a question, "Tell me, have you ever played a game of reversed Maiden's Kisses?"
Cor laughed out loud again, he had never heard of such a thing! “Are you serious, clan chief?†he asked incredulously. “Maiden’s Kiss is a dangerous game, although very fun from what I hear, but how do you mean for us to play it differently?†Cor looked between Krachend and his chief questioningly after seeing that Ramza was as confused as he. Surely the older men were playing a joke on them…
"Oh I am serious Cor" - began the clan chief. - "As serious as a spear tip through a wetlander's neck.You already know of the game of Maiden's Kisses though do you know of it from personal expirience or by the tales of others I do not know.Well the game of reversed Maiden's Kisses is the same,the only difference is that it is a Maiden that has spear tips on her neck,and must kiss her way out of the situation."
Ghaul grined widely as memories of the first time he suggested and tried that game.Boy was Caneera surprised!His gaze went back to the men in front of him.
"So as you see Cor,I am quite serious."
Cor looked again at the clan chief, this time as if examining an unknown animal he found in his wanderings. “The clan chief sounds like he is almost as big a jokester as I am,†he mused thoughtfully before answering.
“I don’t know which is worse, being stabbed by an unhappy Maiden or having to watch your ugly faces in a kissing game. Ha!†Looking at the other two men, Cor waited to see where this would lead. It would definitely be fun and would probably get him into trouble, of that he was sure.
She was pulld from her watch with a sudden jerk as Ismitta 9NSW Bio Pending) pulled her from her spot ont he wall.
"Gahh! ' talbatha let out a slight surprised cry as she was caught off guard, watching from a far.
"What are you doing up here, you spoil sport? Need i waste water on your pretty head to pull you away from your silence?" The woman smiled at Talbs as she puked up the spear that she dropped. Talbs looke dup knowing exactly who it was.
"Isma, need you always push me off balance? Did you know that my spear is faster than yours?"
"you should have been a wise one, with your silence, sister. And your innocence." Ismitta shot back, and Talbs blushed a little.
"My spear is mine and all that i have and all that i will be."
ismitta only raised an eyebrow at Talbs claim and talbs only rolled her eyes. It was an ongoing bet between the two who would give up thier spear first. Obviously Ismitta would never be'tamed' but Talbs we feeling that it woul db her win as at least she was 'aware' of the other sex.
"So, a few of us were thinking that we have been lacking in kisses of late, but we need someone to bait the newest to our tents to play our game."
Talbathat shook her head. "I should think not. you ALWAYS use me as bate,that it will be any time now that they shall turn the tables on us. They know that we will keep our spears to thier throats until they are the ones frustrated and us free of mind."
Ismitta only smiled, pulling Talbatha's arms like she was only 12.
"Likethat woulkd ever happen. men are men, and they thing of one thing. us alone." The woman cackled, "Like that would ever happen."
Talbitha held onto her sisters armas they moved away from where, for but a moment, she felt but a touch of power. Mistery. Butr yet again, she was being pulled into her sisters games.
She smiled to herself. If the new one, Cor, she believed she heard, was any good as the stories, than maybe it would not be so bad...
She looked to Ismitta's gleeful face.. Or maybe not..
Once again laughter errupted from the group of men
"I do not think you'll have time to pay attention to our faces Cor,you will be too busy wondering which Maiden to kiss and how to kiss her.Or in the case of the reversed game - you'll be far to busy enjoying the kisses to even care of looking at any of us!"
Ghaul watched as one Maiden left their group on the hill and headed towards the small group of men.As he has thought,it was Talbitha.They always send Talbitha as the bait,though Ghaul did not know why.
Cor chuckled at the thought. Kissing was fun, and he had done precious little of it since returning to the hold. Perhaps the chief was right. Looking back at Ghaul, Cor noticed that the clan chief was no longer paying attention to the small group. Ghaul was staring up the hill behind Cor.
Turning his head to see what had caught the chief's interest, Cor saw the same Maiden that had been watching him earlier coming towards them. Her white hair glistening, Cor thought she was incredibly lovely. She moved with the grace of a leopard as she approached the gathered men.
"I wonder what she wants?" he thought to himself. "Maybe this is what the clan chief has been talking about..."
Staring at the appoaching maiden he rembered his first Maiden's Kiss......
*ramza shudders visibly*
"May all of you find water and shade, for i feel that i need to go adn train some more. Mentor Wake well."
Ramza began loping away from the approaching maiden, fingering the scars on his neck.
I will never again trust a maiden, not till the day i wake
(i had a post and it got lost... grrrr)
Talbatha barely maintained her graceful stride as Ismitta pushed her out of the tent.
"The new one, Remember. And don't get cold feet!" She hissed. Talbitha didn't need to turn around to hand speak behind her back.
"i have yet to disapoint you, sister. You get to do this next time."
Holding her spear on the opposite side of her body then that of the men, she gracefully walked toards them. A few stood there, un noticed, but a few did. One got the hint and walked away. He fears what us maidens can do. He is a wise one. and with a thought of maybe introducing Ismitta to the man. they might have something in common.
With her viel, and her white curly hair loose - unusual for a maiden- she slwoled as she walked by, he hand slowly reaching out as she walked behind Cor, her finger tips brushing across his low spine. And with a wink, she 'started' to walk back around to the tent.
It has began,the Maiden's wolf in sheep clothing - Talbitha,approached them with slow gracefull walk,her sights set on Cor. Ghaul always thought that it was the innocence that Talbs radiated,that made her such a wonderful 'bait'
With that Ramza left.Ghaul just looked after him.It was his choise wheater to trust his luck again in dealing with Maidens.Though he should have known better by now,that the Clan Chief presence ment that nothing will get out of hand.Ghaul was not one to waste warriors.
And with a wink, she 'started' to walk back around to the tent.However,Ghaul was certain that neither she,not any of the Maidens up on the hill expected Ghaul to interfiere.He stood in Talbs path,not intending to move.
"And where do you think your going young Maiden?" - a smile appeared on his lips. - "You're not by any chance trying to lure the newest warrior into the reach of the Maiden's are you?"
Talbs did not say a thing,she just looked at him like she has never seen him before.It was at this time that Ghaul made his move.Talbs was fast,very fast,but even she could not match the speed with which the clan chief pinned his spear at her neck.Her eyes widened with half surprise half curiosity as to what will happen next.
"So Talbitha,have you ever play Maiden's Kisses,the reversed game?"
Ghaul
