It's Joss Whedon, so surely it's going to be good.  I don't know anything about the comic, but it sounds like it has potential.

 

Both Peter Sollett ("Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist") and Joss Whedon ("Serenity") have been linked to direct the comic adaptation "Runaways" for Marvel Studios says Deadline New York and The Playlist.

 

The story follows a group of teens who learn their parents are supervillains. They soon team to form their own rather dysfunctional family and start becoming a force for themselves.

 

Whedon seems a natural choice as he penned the series’ second volume. Brian K. Vaughan ("Y: The Last Man," TV's "Lost") created the comic. Paramount Pictures will release the film.
