The Artists, Writers and Crafters Guild Olympic Games

The  Artists, Writers and Crafters Guild  (formerly the Illuminators Org) would like to announce the its first ever Olympic Games in honor of the current games being held in Vancouver, Canada. Opening Ceremonies will be Monday Feb 22, 2010. The Games will last for two weeks (just like the real games) with Closing Ceremonies on March 8, 2010.

 

There will be six events in which to compete. They are:

 

1) Mirco Fiction Short Program - A Themed story up to 100 words in length.

 

2) Flash Fiction Freestyle - A story about anything you wish, up to 1500 words. There will be plot elements to that you will have to include in your stories t achieve the highest scores from the judges.

 

3) Art Moguls - A small piece of artwork based upon a gievn theme.

 

4) Art Super G - A larger piece of art on any subject you wish.

 

5) Recipe Slalom - Submit your best food recipes.

 

6) Crafty Curling - Create a craft based upon the game curling or using the word itself. Things that wuld qualify could include but are not limited to: curly ribbons, lace, crinkle cut edging, curly hairstyles, or fluted pie crusts.

 

A Gold, Silver, or Bronze Medal will be handed out by a panel of independent judges. Submission will be done via email or PM to ensure anonymous entries which will minimize biased judging.

 

So stop by and be a spectator or if you like, be an Olympian.
