Hello everyone,

 

First I have to say how good it is take part in this community.  I have passed on my love for WoT to two of my brothers-in-law, but they are still at least 3 books behind me, so having someplace to delve into the whole story is going to be a pleasure! 

 

I started reading the series in 1997, not long after Crown of Swords was realeased.  A friend passed me a copy of EotW in college, and I have been a junkie since.  Needless to say, my collection caught up to the chronology quickly.  Then comes the waiting for the next one to release...oh the suspense!  Between Robert Jordan and R.A. Salvatore, I don't know why I'm not gray-haired at 33. :)

Welcome to Dragonmount, Dumont! Glad you made your way here. Have you had a chance to check out the boards we have? That's a good place to find people with the same interests (outside of WoT of course). Don't be afraid if we seem a little strange or even insane at times. Just try to make yourself look big and we might back down. Have a good one!!

Thanks Corki, I'm sure I will.  I have taken a strong liking to some of the discussions so far.  If I decide to join a RP I'm definitely leaning to BotRH as well :)

Thanks for the greeting aemonkristen :)  This place is great!  I've been dipping in to some of the dicussions and wow what ideas this comm. can come up with.  I haven't actually visited any boards based on discussion outside of WoT yet, but I plan to.  If it's strange or insane on ocassion, I should fit right in too  ;D

I haven't decided on that direction yet, which may be my reason for hesitating.  I have done alot of RP over the years, but not sure if this would be my style....maybe ORG would be better?

Most orgs do a little bit of RP, but the focus is on discussing current events, books, movies, music, etc with the friends we meet here.  Each org has assigned discussion topics.  The Band of the Red Hand is assigned music. 

 

We ogier hope you at least come visit our museum, and come to appreciate all that we ogier have taught humans how to build. Our org is assigned books and history to discuss.
