Rand is not the Dragon Reborn

Sorry, didn't mean that as the Dragon is more people than LTT, just that there is more to it than being LTT. What if in an Age, LTT was reborn, as all souls are. That person is not the Dragon Reborn unless there is a need for the Dragon in that Age, prophecies get fulfilled, etc.

RJ has already stated that the soul of the Dragon can be born without Dragon status. That doesnt lend any weight to Mat and Perrin being part of the Dragon Reborn or anything.

Yes, there is the tripod thing going on, but that is down to Rands Ta'veren strength, not them being seperate parts of one prophecied person. Rand became uber Ta'veren and instantly two others became Ta'veren. This is not a symbol of them being one with each other, but a symbol of the Dragon and his relationship with the Pattern. We definitely need to take this to the TGS board as I want to post spoilers relating to the subject.

Rands will.

While I don't agree with them being the Dragon together, I do agree that they are all nearly as important as each other. Rand obviously, is the most important, but will fail without the other two.

This is the key to their whole relationship in the story.  The 3 must work toward the same end, but by no means has it shown up in the books that they were connected in any way other than being ta'veren.  That ta'veren nature being set up like a planet (Rand) with two moons (Mat & Perrin).  The moons might assist the planet with tides and other factors, but the planet is the head honcho :)

As far as prophecy goes, I don't remember if the exact statement says that the Dragon will marry the DotNM, but that may allude to an eventual alliance of nations (Rand's unified countries + the Seanchan?)

I would also like to note, IMOHO, Mazrim Taim will be pivotal in an attempt to thwart Rand's success.

I think that is a good analogy.

Not that I necessarily agree with your theory, but there's definitely some food for thought given to us in tEotW.

Moiraine speaking to Rand about leaving the Two Rivers (p113, A Place Of Safety):

"In one of you," Moiraine said, "or all three, there is something the Dark One fears."

Rand is NOT the Dragon. He is a fake from Dual Creek being used by the Witches for their own ends. End of story. Period.

I will also add that the Last Battle isn't almost here. It is an age away or more. Again, more Witchery to scare the sheep into doing as they say. They are building up the fake to take over the world. It's so easy to see. The only thing to be done is to fight back and kill all the witches and their devious games. Trickery must be met with a swift death. The false dragon and the witches must be put to the blade.
