Wheel of Time music?

...pure gothic are bands like Therion, Epica, Sirenia, Tristania, Eternal Tears of Sorrow etc...

 

I'm not too into the gothic stuff, but I can totally hear the Therion thing - Lemuria, Sirius B, and Gothic Kabbalah are all great candidates. I always thought Demons & Wizards did an awesome job on their work relating to the Dark Tower in Touched by the Crimson King, but I thought Blind Guardian's Wheel of Time song was kinda meh. That said, there are a couple songs that I associate with specific elements of WoT:

 

Opeth - Demon of the Fall (Lanfear)

Nevermore - The Sanity Assassin (Saidin)

Dark Tranquillity - Am I 1? (Rand/LTT)

Wintersun - Sadness and Hate (Rand's Dragonmount revelations)

I've always found that M.O.P.'s "Ante Up" is perfect for Mat's escape from Ebou Dar.
