[MOVIE] Public Enemies 7/1

Ok, so I'm a bit early, but it's slow in Hollywood for the time being, and I figured I'd take a look at the big summer releases.  Lots of shiny scifi and popcorn Blockbusters, but little of substance to keep you riveted.  Public Enemies looks to be one of the few, so here is a copy and paste of their description, and the buzz listed on IMDB.

 

The Plot: FBI agent Melvin Purvis (Bale) sets his sights on American gangster John Dillinger (Depp) and others in an attempt to curb a rampant Chicago crime spree during the 1930s.

THE BUZZ: Gangster junkies rejoice! Not since Tony Soprano went bada-boom, bada-bye-bye have fans of the crime genre had a reason to get so excited. Bale and Depp teaming up with Mann to tell one of the most famous 1930s gangland tales has easily created one of the most anticipated movies of the year and will probably generate enough fireworks for you to skip out on that picnic this weekend and catch a matinee.

I'm quite rather excited for this

 

1. Michal Mann is awesome (I truly love Heat)

2. Johnny Depp is awesome

3. Christian Bale is awesome

 

My powers of deduction thusly tell me this film will be awesome

 

I've read some positive screening reviews, so I'm eagerly awaiting this
