None of you are excited about this movie? Samuel L Jackson tasers a snake. A snake, people. He tasrers a SNAKE. In the face. If you can't get excited by Samuel L Jackson tasering a SNAKE in the FACE on a PLANE, I don't know if I can post on this board anymore.

I was quite excited when I read your post and saw the words "Snakes on a Plane", but I couldn't get the video to play, so my excitement vanished like an e******* at the thought of my gran.

Wow! Sammuel L. Jackson with snakes on a plane! To be honest princess I thought you were winding us up about this, but who can deny that clip?! You can tell just from that the film is going to be one of the true greats, like J-Lo in Annaconda, or the masterful Waterworld

Okay, I had to think this was a big joke. Then I see the trailer. And the news article. And hear about it elsewhere.

This is why the internet can change the world. This movie probably would have been dropped if it hadn't have been for the growing internet fan base. This is classic.

Well some news on it... not really news but something new.

Sunny Mabrey Battles Snakes on a Plane

Source: Kara Warner May 1, 2006

New Line's Cinema's upcoming Snakes on a Plane is causing quite a frenzy both offline and online because of the title and its star, Samuel L. Jackson (who wouldn't want to see Jackson fight snakes... on a plane!?). Another one of the film's stars, Sunny Mabrey, is getting caught up in the craze and briefly chatted with ComingSoon.net about the action-thriller.

"I play a flight attendant with Julianna Margulies and a couple other actors as well," she says. "Pretty much the whole movie is on that plane so it's pretty terrifying and funny and sad... it's a little bit of everything." Mabrey added that working with Margulies was "great, so much fun. We're both big game people so we'd always go to somebody's house or apartment or trailer and play games."

Mabrey also revealed a bit more about the snakes used in the film. "We used a ton of real snakes, everything you can imagine from garden snakes to 20-foot Burmese pythons. We also used CGI of course and rubber snakes, very realistic-looking rubber snakes."

In the movie, Jackson plays an FBI agent who is escorting a witness on a flight from Hawaii to Los Angeles when an assassin releases hundreds of deadly snakes on a commercial airplane in order to eliminate the witness. The FBI agent, along with a rookie pilot, frightened crew and passengers must then band together in a desperate attempt to survive.

Snakes on a Plane, directed by David Ellis (Cellular, Final Destination 2), opens on August 18th.

I can tell you how they came up with this movie. The writers had two hats. One hat had a bunch of cards, each with a different animal name written on them. The other hat also had cards, but with places and/or vehicles written on them. Thankfully they pulled 'snakes' and 'plane', or else this movie could have very easily been Lemurs on a Canoe, or Fish in a DeLorean. Nevertheless, by including Sam Jackson, any movie, regardless of how...odd...the plot is, would be worth watching.

Don't be ridiculous. How can she set that up when she's in line to watch it again? Probably gonna have an LOA that week so she can go for every airing.

She'll be bringing a laptop and do the work standing in the line. Probably tapping into the theatre's wireless broadband doing it, there is just no shame in that woman whatsoever

We were doing magazine clipping collages the other day. One of my fifth graders came up to me with a recent EW and said "Look! Its that movie you keep talking about. It looks really stupid."

Curses, you're right.

How could someone think it stupid? He tazers a snake! Eh, fifth graders. What are you teaching them, history? You should focus on the important things, like films.

Snakes on a Plane...The Music Video!

They will never top this movie. Hollywood needs to just pack everything up and go home right now. SOAP is the pinnicle of evolution.
