Hmmmm. I'd love to think that the votes for me have been made in an effort to provoke a response, or to try and see who  is willing to jump on a bandwagon, but my confidence is not that high.

So just to sum up, the evidence against me is:

Sammael: He sums it right up - "Taim's death makes me suspicious of Moridin."

He goes on to say that that if Taim was mafia, he would not have risked being lynched so soon in the game (this is all on pg. 30, btw) and how he did not see why the mafia would NK'd such a lynchable player, unless it was to protect one of their own.

Taim was Kivam. For those who have not played with Kivam, when he is evil, he loves to die first. He's done it in two games and uses his death to make members of his team look innocent so that the evil team wins. He even suggested it in this game.

I'll also submit that once my identity was clear, I made a perfect target for framing. No evil team wants to leave me around to poke holes in their plan. Kivam mentioned this as well.

The whole thing is a perfect example of a Kivam Gambit. But we'll move on.

Next to vote is Graendal. First she votes for Agi. Then she takes a little heat from Demi, and switches it to me.  Same logic as Sammy, as everybody is using the Taim situation as a basis to vote. The evil cackling you are hearing is Kivam, who is obviously still reading the game.

Then it gets interesting. The bandwagon has started rolling, so Aran'gar votes for me. Not to help, as he admits, but just because? No other reason given, and as of yet he and I have not started fighting. yet. heh  ;)

Demi jumps in to vote and sticks with the Taim setup. So far, for whatever reason, I trust Demi. And I see the logic, but I think that this is a player who would recognize a gambit, so I'll ask; Why don't you see this?

Then - and I'm not trying to look a gift horse in the mouth - Messy votes for Graendal. Since I called her a symp, I can only guess that she thinks it appropriate to support me. Which would do the job of incriminating me further. And, if this does turn out to be ths case, it was very nicely posted. Very subtle. Keep your eyes on this one in the future.... 8)

Semi jumps in with a bandwagon vote. She is another player, along with Graendal and Demi that have not been very active, nor have they proposed any thoeries or really done much at all except to bandwagon.

And then Be'Lal slips a vote in. Just got a bad feeling. Nice. The block is building......but we'll get to that.

Ah, Rahvi. You voted next. Rather dramatically, I might add. Nice touch.

And then....surprise!....Kivam jumps back in, to remind the mod that the count may be off. Why not just say "Loki, we may be much close to lynching Moridin than you have posted, and I really want to see him lynched. Pleeeeaaaaasse look at the vote count again! DIE MORI, DIE!

ANybody wondering why all of the counts have been funky? You should be. Thats real evidenc that can help you figure out what's really going on. As opposed to false evidence, which it the kind of stuff that other players, like the mafia, feed you to manipulate your thinking. Which brings us to our block:

Did anyone wonder why four players claimed to have a vial, but nobody else did? Did the fact that a five player mafia team in a 22 person game would be about right. And that Taim is dead, so four would probably be left?

If another player says they have a vial, I'll discard the theory. Well, any player but Messy. But until then, I have to wonder.

Aran'gar. Be'Lal. Rahvin. And it breaks my heart...but Lanfear.  All claim to have received vials.

And, out of this group we have another interesting point; the mafia might not know each other. That was from Lanfear I believe.  What a perfect piece of information to plant before a mafia team starts to work a plan.

So that's where my head is at. Did everybody forget the Kivam gambit? Why is Kivam still so interested in today's lynch? Why did nobody else receive a vial? Don't even get me started on the Coroner rumors. I guess we'll just wait until Lanny shows up to vote for me.

I'm probably dead, but the innocent team does not have to be! Ask questions people!

Ohhh, that is a good question. I'm glad you were thinking it.

"Did Moridin embed any hidden messages in that last post?"

Well, we'll just have to see.  ;)

Actually, that's not the reason I don't want you gone, Moridin. I just think that Graendal should be gone first.

I had asked this a few times already but it seemed to skipped over. What would the mafia be called for this theme? Would it me the Queen and her cards. As she's displayed evil and has control of the cards in the movie?

Moridn, where are your charts and graphs and equations to back all this up?  Did you not learn anything from the son of Odin in Fast Mafia?  lol.....I should vote you again for reading a Robert Jordan sized Prologue.

Alas, I am sorry bro but clinching a lynch against you guarantees my survival and leaves the dice on the shelf.  I know I am innocent (read below) so i would rather save myself not for selfish reasons but rather to guarantee that there is at least ONE innocent left alive tonight.

And now, I have decided to reply to all Private Messages publically, in the interest of sharing info.

Mesaana, I was hoping that your PM was a love letter confessing your undying love for me, but alas, it was just another bloody Mafia inquisition.  Yours at least was less abrasive, confusing, pontificated, and more just right to the point.  I like that.

Were you roleless to begin with?

And my reply is YES, I was a role-less party goer from the very start.  Below is the first PM I received from Master Hatter.

Welcome to Mad Hatter Mafia, but remember believe less than none of what you hear and only a quarter of what you see. Oh and watch out for the Pogo sticks. then can cause quite nasty accidents.

You are The March Hare and are roleless

Your alignment is Partygoer

I am also the MAD MARCH HARE.....a little tongue-in-cheekiness from Loki that did not go un-admired. For those of you familiar with Alice in Wonderland and familiar with my first mafia game, you should get at least a chuckle out of that.  ;)

A question to you all.....does anyone have an alignment that is not Partygoer?

Moridin, at the time I voted we were only a few hours from the deadline, it looked like we weren't going to get a majority, therefore my vote wasn't really going to make a difference b/c it would have been the die deciding who would buy it.  Now that we have another few hors I might reconsider my vote if you can convince me.

And Mesaana, no one knows what the mafia are called, loki didn't tell us on the game thread and I'm quite sure none of them are going to hand us that info.  But my character at least is not from "Through the Looking Glass" it's from another book.

Dear Mesaana, what is this reason you so suspect me? As I recall you voted me on the very first day. I must confess I do not know Alys in Wonderland very well. Perhaps you can teach us? Are you this 'Queen'? Oh, sorry, I forgot...

No, it was a connectin that I thought to make since I've seen it only a few years go. Must say I love the cat from the movie.

And hat was someone else that voted you the very first day, I don't know what they were thinking or I'd explain it.

In the movie Alice in Wonderland, the Queen has a furious temper and gets worked up over the smallest thing, and often shouts "Off with their heads!". Favourite song is "We're Painting the Roses Red" - that is when you first see the Queen. Which kinda made me think okay, the Queen is protrayed eil, and they're there is similities in characters so okay. hmm....

you forgot what?

Rahvin, I didn't see the point in beating around the bush.

Hmmm.....interesting.

So, is anyone here a White Knight?

Also, a cat without a grin is pretty common in mafia games, but who ever heard of a grin without a cat?

I have to be honest, I didn't realise Kivam was Taim, otherwise I might have thought about it. But saying that we don't have a coroner to tell s who is mafia and who is not, so that gambit doesn't work so well in this situation.

I'm not sure who is who and haven't tried to work it out, I'm not at my best, which is a shame becasue I would really like to get more into this game.

And is it me or does Rahvin try to hard, too many times to say that he is innocent and roleless, yes just incase you didn't get it, he is and was roleless... ;)...sorry small joke.. :-* to Rahvin

Mesaana - The theme of the games does not really influence what happens. It's window dressing more than anything, but if there is ever a tie in, it will be through mafia rules. So in this case, the movie or book is not something you should use to base opinions on. Does that make sense?

Ravi - Your neck was safe enough when you voted No Lynch. And interestingly, you were correct, no one would get lynched and we would most likely save an innocent.

In a coroner-finder game you avoid no lynches because you don't get any info - but just like in the Fast Mafia - they can be handy in this setting where we don't get any info at all. Anyone who says different has an interest in getting rid of innocents.

So why did you switch? It's almost like the person against the no lynch talked you into changing your mind.

yes it does, but sometimes knowing the theme helps with proir information. ;)

OK.

And for the record, I don't want to die. I've brought up the points that strike me as odd, so if anyone who has voted for me has any doubts, I'd ask you to vote [glow=blue,2,300]No Lynch[/glow].

I realized that's not as helpful as it could be. If I was voting for a player, it would be [glow=blue,2,300]Graendal[/glow]

Love ya babe, but your a bit wishy-washy, and that does tend to ping.

Ahhhh the embedded info, ni~ce, can't wait to see what it'll bring out :P

Moridin, I don't really see how the "Kivam Gambit" (yes, I did my homework) would work in a coroner-less game and further who it would benefit. Who is going to come out all bright and shiny from you and Kivam getting lynched?

My thinking was that only mafia would try to pose as a symp, which is why I teased him (moo), but them pulled back. I was hoping that he would come back and press the issue with PM's - which I was obviously collecting to post, which I did.

How couldn't it have been an innocent simply trying to lure the Mafia? And what "evidence" were you trying to collect against him that would prove him to be Mafia and not such?

I was also surprised that anyone believed him when he said he had discovered two mafia so early in the game.

But we should believe you when you say you have discovered the "Great Kivam" Day 1?

you could join in the pm's.

*furiously sends PMs away*

Oh, wait, I don't have any "vials" to share and even if I had, I'd have no clue as who to send it to.

I understand that Alys and Asan'gar got in touch since they form a couple or stg but how did the others who received vials knew to PM the right people about it?

(Yes, I'm gonna assume that they did receive them, else it would the stupidest Mafia plan ever since we would figure it out in a matter of days when no one else got any)

Loki, that makes 7 votes for Moridin ;)

This is crazy, it's Day 3 and we still can't reach a majority and have 5 players Not Voting!  ::)

Not Voting (5) : Osan'gar, Mordeth, Balthamel, Aginor, Dashiva

*opens up to saidin and channels Fire in the players' breeches*

I hope one of them gets lynched, it would maybe probe the others into activity.

No,No that's good. That number of non-voters means no one can die. Right?

Missed deadline: roll for penalty-(not revealed unless asked for)

        1, 2, 3 -  Random with vote gets killed

Ok, at this point, since a NO LYNCH is something people are not going for, we're gonna have to make the Dread Pirate Moridin walk the plank.  Assume for a moment that Moridin is mafia...then the only hope for his survival is for he and his fellow mafia to somehow ruin the majority vote, and therefore leaving it to chance.

So, Mesaana, Aginor, Baltha-boyo, Osan'gar, Lanny, Dashinactive, and Moggy.......at this point, why are you NOT voting Moridin??

Vikings being rather thick and irrational could really only see one way to fix the problem before the werewolfs killed the whole village

is it too late to add vikings to this game?

i guess it is :(
