Just a heads up... I'm back 8) 8). Seeing as how I was technically never removed from modship, I have resumed my role as a moderator for here and fiddles.

Now for the reminder portion.  I have noticed an increase of rule violations and severe rule s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g.  There are not that many rules to follow for this board and the ones that are in place aren't that tough to follow.  I have noticed in a couple of games where players have "snapped" about something that occurred in the game.  The great thing about how we communicate on DM is that we can control what is communicated on a much higher level than in a real life conversation.  Think very closely about what your going to post and if it is something that you would regret saying in a real life conversation then don't post it.  I understand that at times a Mafia game can get frustrating.  I've experienced it.  But there is no excuse for posting anything out of anger, and being disrespectful.

I have also noticed a rash of people, who've been eliminated from games, continuing to post after their one alloted "darn you got me/good luck post".  This is not tolerated.  I am unaware of what steps were taken while I was not enforcing rules, but rest assured that the suspension rule will be enforced by me.  It is a rule that is in place and agreed upon.  If I see it the rule offending post will be deleted and the violator will be suspended for two games.  I'd rather not have to do this so please remember to follow the rules.

If you have any questions or concerns about any rules please PM myself or another Mod.  We're here to answer questions, and tend to concerns.

As I said long ago when the rules thread was created.  This board is in existence so people can play games they enjoy, and have fun.  So let's all do so.

Your friendly Moderator,

Mr. Soy Boyo

Perhaps I am overstepping my bounds, but I am posting this here regardless. I think it's important to be clear.

Mods take care of things in private. We (Barms and I) have been discussing actions before they take place unless it warrants immediate action.

Also, "Often times dead players posts are harmless."

"In those cases, to be honest, I'd say leave it up to mod discretion."

"If a player posts something content related after dying, then the mod should forward them on to us to take disiplinary actions."

"Players who are concerned should also go to the game mod first, and us second."

"I would say suspending people from games for posting after death should be only if the case has made it to us because it could not be resolved without that for whatever reason. And only after some investigation to make sure that the suspension is fairly earned. In often cases, I think a warning should be fair enough."

Everything in quotes is my opinion as spoken by another person.

Regardless, there are other ways to post comments outside of the game thread, and these ways should be utilized rather than posting in a game thread. There are only so many times I will bother to warn about that kind of thing.
