The Producers and I have received the information presented to us from the Taardad Clan and we are reviewing it carefully.  We shall release an official statement shortly....

*** IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ***

 

First, I would like to thank everyone for your participation and I hope that everyone is enjoying themselves.  This challenge was designed to not only provide a fun Immunity Challenge, but it was also designed to see how well coordinated each Clan has become.....and all three have shown to do so well.

 

I am confident that you all will continue to enjoy the new challenges upcoming in the weeks to come...and it will be quite interesting as we get closer to crowning our first SURVIVOR!

 

Now, for the issue at hand: 

 

The Taardad Clan has presented to the Producers a very compelling argument. In Corki's list of statements, there was a misspelling that was intended to be the lie.  As Mystie pointed out, it is spelled Maighdin not Miaghdin, which could easily be dismissed as a typo.....but was actually intended to be the lie.

 

According to the Wheel of Time Wiki, Elyas is listed as having blue eyes (see link below), which would make selection D a truth instead of a lie.

And so we don't lose control of the board...

 

A) In the Old Tongue, Shadar Logoth means "Where the Shadow Waits".

 

B) Morgase travelled to Ghealdean under the name Miaghdin Dorlain.

 

C) Matalina has been the ORG Leader of the Band in the past.

 

D) Elyas has blue eyes.

 

Unfortunately, the WoT Wiki fails to list a reference to where in the WoT series it is stated that Elyas Machera has blue eyes.  The Dragonmount Character description states that Elyas Machera has yellow eyes, concurring with the WOT:Character site.  Furhter investigation showed that Wikia Books's Concordances and Characters section lists Elyas as having golden eyes, which are closer to yellow eyes than blue one would agree.

 

While the rules do not state that a typo cannot also be considered a lie and that it was the intention of the Taardad Clan to trick their opponent with the Elyas statement; the producers and I feel that there is significant evidence against Elyas having blue eyes, including the WoT books themselves that describe him having yellow eyes.  This makes the statement "Elyas has blue eyes" false and more of a lie than a mere misleading typo. 

 

THEREFORE.....statement D is officially the LIE.  The ruling stands....Shaido have Immunity and Taardad must go to Tribal Council.  Thank you all for your understanding and I am confident that you all will respect the decisions of the producers in the spirit of friendly competition.
