Well, once the first semi-final is over, I will be releasing my top 10 flops of Eurovision. The only qualifying criteria is to have scored a famous "nul point". A lot depends on Dustin the Turkey, and that is why I am holding my list back for now.

So, until about 10pm (GMT), you're just gonna have to wait for Corki's Top 10 Eurovision flops! I'm sure you can't wait!

So, finally I get around to posting my Top of the Flops from Eurovision. Overall, there have been 15 nul points from Eurovision over the years since the current scoring system was brought in in 1975. So, let's kick off with those the 5 somngs that didn't quite make the top 10.

The best of the rest

- Lass ihn by Gunvor (Switzerland, 1998) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdoGcOdx83k

- Antes do adeus by Célia Lawson (Portugal, 1997) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iq19uWeDAGw

- Það sem enginn sér by Daníel Ágúst (Iceland, 1989) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMyxRua0nqU

- Lopšinė mylimai by Ovidijus Vyšniauskas (Lithunia, 1994) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPY3w16q3uM

- Aldri i livet by Finn Kalvik (Norway, 1981)

Personaly speaking, I didn't think much was wrong with any of these songs. I haven't looked to see what else was entered, but by themselves, they don't seem too bad. However, something must had caused Europe to shun them!

10. San Francisco by Tor Endresen (Norway, 1997)

Personally speaking, it isn't a bad song. Just don't think much of the guy's singing. That probably explains its nul point. For the full experience, follow the YouTube link:

9. Nuku pommiin by Kojo (Finland, 1982)

The singing and music just don't go together at all. And to bear witness to it, check out the YouTube clip:

8. Celebrate by Piero & The Musicstars (Switzerland, 2004)

What sounds like it should be a joyous song, it is incredibly flat. Horrific! To see the horror show, follow the YouTube link:

7. Venedig im Regen by Thomas Forstner (Austria, 1991)

The terrible haircut doesn't help. On the low notes, he is fine, but he sounds like a strangled cat on the top notes. It's also a bit plain as a song. For the full delights, follow the YouTube link:

6. Mil etter mil by Jahn Teigen (Noway, 1978)

I know it isn't the greatest quality clip, but this is some terrible singing. It's also rather tuneless. See more here on YouTube:

5. ¿Quién maneja mi barca? by Remedios Amaya (Spain, 1983)

Apart from what she is wearing (shouldn't she be in Joseph and his Amazing Technicoloured Dreamcoat?), she is terrible screechy. Ugh! If you can bear the squeals, follow the link to YouTube and go to 3:52:

4. Opera by Çetin Alp and Short Wave (Turkey, 1983)

Thankfully there is no whole version of the song. So, to sample the flop, follow the YouTube link and go to 3:23 in the clip:

3. Şarkım Sevgi Üstüne by Seyyal Taner and Grup Locomotif (Turkey, 1987)

Why all the jigging about? And does her voice change in pitch and tone at all? And she doesn't seem to have the power to sing on top of the music. A clip from YouTube of Turkey's 1987 disaster at Eurovision:

2. Lisa, Mona Lisa by Wilfried (Austria, 1988)

1988 is remembered for Celion Dion's winnning song. I know the clip quality is not good, but it is a truly awful song. If you want to watch Austria's entry, click on the YouTube link and go to 5:55 point of the clip.

1. Cry Baby by Jemini (U.K., 2003)

What can I say? Excuses were made, as they couldn't hear the backing track due to a technical failure. Jemini even said the performance was off-key. Their rumours that the "nul point" was due to the Iraq War. Whatever the reasons, it wasn't great - the singing was terrible. If you can bear it, here is a YouTube clip of the whole performance:
