On a re-reread of TDR.

Nynaeve, Egwene and Elayne are captured by brigands and are being held captive until the brigands figure out what to do with their 3 captured Aes Sedai (they didn't know they were Aes Sedai before capturing them if I'm not mistaken)...

Anyway, one mentions that you 'can get a good price for an Aes Sedai if you have the stomach to deal with that sort'.

Then 3 Myrdraal show up.

I know that the Myrdraal were hunting these 3 ladies anyway (although I'd be glad if somebody could tell me exactly why), but it seems as thogh the brigands knew that captured Aes Sedai can be sold to Myrdrall...

Is this common knowledge amoungst certain groups (of DF's and brigands)?

Is the shadow putting out the word to capture Aes Sedai so they cab be Turned to their cause with 13 DF channelers and Myrdraal?

I always thought the Myrdraal were looking for any channellers, so their bodies could be used to recycle the Forsaken.

From what Ive heard on here, RJ said the ability to channel comes from two sources-the body, AND the soul. When I heard that, I guessed that to be the reason why Cyndane is weaker than she was as Lanfear..because maybe her new body doesnt have the ability to channel, whereas her original body did? So maybe the Myrdraal were sent to get Aes Sedai so the Dark One could reincarnate his Chosen in these new bodies, giving them their full channelling strength. But, I could be wrong.

Well, at that stage there were no dead female Chosen... and further more, the fact that all of the other Chosen who were recycled retained their exact strength--retained it so precisely that the other Forsaken dismiss Cyndane as Lanfear because of her discrepency--shows that whatever role the body plays in channeling, it does not control strength... at least not in the case of transmigration. A fact made solid by Aran'gar.

Cyndane is weaker because she was severed from the True Source, and healed by a woman... but that does not speak to this.

I too agree that it is likely that the Shadow has been actively turning Aes Sedai. Certainly its stated that Aes Sedai have gone missing. I suspect it goes beyond Aes Sedai too, but meh.

Man, it's weird to think about that.... being kidnapped and being forced to the Shadow!

I had a dream of it last night, but woke up before the Shadow got past the 'come over to our side' request.

Don't want to dream of being turned by 13 DF's and Myrdraal....

First WoT dream in about a year!
