I guess I'll join the hordes of new people. Hi! I'm a 21 -year-old college kid from Alabama. Obviously I adore the books or I wouldn't be here. Along with other random nerdy stuff, like games, *points to avatar* other fantasy series, forums, and yadda yadda. And now I've found my way here. Yay. *dances* Point being, hi, I'll be around!

Welcome to DM!!!

 

There is just so much to do here, and there will be something for all!!! This includes:

 

- Book Discussions. Talk about the books, and i expect Eggy will be around shortly to push towards voting on her Asmodean thread

- Join the ORGs to meet new people. ORGs are communities within communities. Most ORGs have a purpose, like the Band of the Red Hand is the Music & Travel ORG of DM. ORGs are about fun as well as work, and a great way of meeting new friends

- Join the RP side. Create a character and live their life!

- Spam in Fiddlesticks, the sole purpose of that board

- Join in some serious chit-chat within the Debates & Discussion Board, as well as the General Board

 

Whatever takes your fancy, there is something for everybody!!!

 

I hope you enjoy your time here...and become addicted like most of us!!!! ;)

thanks for announcing my eminent arrival, Corki.. though as you have mentioned 'it' already I don't need to anymore

 

I think you'll like it here Arya. Corki has made a good effort at trying to summarise what there is (including just in passing mentioning the Band *g*), I just want to add that you'll meet tons of really nice people here.

 

One of my favourites is Fiddlesticks... nothing but meaningless spam...

Heh, thanks guys! Everything's pretty interesting so far! I haven't posted much yet, obviously. <_< Mainly just scooting around and seeing where my place shall be. Makes me even more excited about Dragon*Con this year, maybe I'll get to meet some of you people. W00t!
