Ok, So heres my crazy chance meeting Brandon Sanderson. Im about 20 minutes away from the nearest Barnes and Noble, but me and 2 friends decide to head out, for something to do (IE read free comics) So we get there spend about 2 hours dickin around readin, and we pass the Robert Jordan books in the fantasy section. So I go on about how it sucks the author died and as a joke my friends said we should sue tor untill they finish the series. As we finish out conversation 2 guys walk buy and ask me if i like fantasy books. I say yes i love them, and it turns out to be none other then Brandon. Now for me, I havent heard the news yet, I have been working a lot havent been online so this was like a total shock, to meet the new Author of the series. Granted Robert Jordan will be the greatest ever, and he said he knows he will never be able to write the endings how they should be, but hes confident he will write an ending for us all. I got a picture with him, and was able to get one of his books signed by him :)

The only peice of info i could get out of him was, I know who kills Asmodean thats all i could get. He did say Harriot will still edit the books as she has always done. When i asked about prequels he said, he hops that if they do a good enough job on the ending they will allow him to finish those too! Overall a crazy night, but atleast I know the series will be finished one way or another. I hope he lives up to the series :)

I wish i knew i was gonna meet him otherwise i would have asked some better questions but yeah, one way or another it seems they will finish the prequels so if he doesn't do it, it seemed like someone else would. Glad to see tor not gimping out and only finishing the 1 book.

I also ran into Brandon Sanderson today.  I read the press release on Monday and checked out his interview here, and was going to go check out his book at the Borders I work at in Cincinnati.  Well, I completely forgot to do that.  So I'm working and minding my own business when my manager calls me to the fantasy section of the store.  I walk over there and a guy introduces himself as Brandon Sanderson.  I lot of authors come into bookstores pumping there books, so I was a little cautious because authors love to talk about themselves.  Anyway, before he could get a second sentence in, I saw a copy of the first Mist book I was supposed to have checked out and shouted, "oh my god, you are finishing WOT."  He was very nice and gave me a free signed copy of the book.  I'm reading it as we speak.  He is a really nice guy and I hope he doesn't get frusterated with the people who are bound to not like this last book on the premise that it's not Robert Jordan writing it.  I wished him luck with sorting out the myriad of notes that Jordan left and he went off to Tri-County to investigate some other book stores.  What a crazy night!!!

I imagine this will be a huge boost to the sales of his other books. I hadn't read any of his work before the announcement, but just yesterday I went out and bought Elantris and Mistborn: The Final Empire.

Also, I downloaded Warbreaker and finished it in a couple days. Was pretty good for a rough draft.
