  1. His oldest child or cousin (on Failes side) would take over.

You're not living in a monarchy, are you?

The Dutch Queen is Queen Beatrice. If she dies or resigns, her son Willem-Alexander will take over as King William IV. He is married to princess Maxima, who will (hopefully) become Queen Maxima. If anything should happen to King William IV, Maxima won't take over or stay Queen: she doesn't have the right on her own (only through her husband). The throne would pass to their eldest child: princess Catharina-Amalia (probably under the name of Queen Catherine).

There has been one exception: when King Wiliam III died, the only living child left (he had sons, but they died before their father), princess Wilhelmina was too young to take the throne. There was no other heir. Her mother was named Queen-Regent and reigned until Wilhelmina reached the age of 18.

  2. Firstly, thank you to everyone who has helped answer the questions I've had so far. I appreciate it.

I have another question. In the interviews, someone asks about the vision Min has for Lan...

...I don't know if that link works, but it's in the theoryland interview database. RJ confirmed that Min's viewings always predict the future, and my question is: do you think the vision of Lan with the seven towers around him has been fulfilled by him raising the army, will be fulfilled amidst AMoL, or is it near-guaruntee that Lan will survive despite all odds?

forfilled in ToM when he raised the standard of the Golden Crane. The first time he acknowledged his place as the rightful leader of the Malkieri.

  3. Chora trees had nothing to do with keeping the Dark One's prison locked, had nothing to do with creating the Bore and will have nothing to do with recreating the Dark One's prison.

The song had nothing to do with keeping the Dark One's prison locked, had nothing to do with creating the Bore and will have nothing to do with recreating the Dark One's prison.

I don't know whether the song will be found in the final book. I think it will, but it's importance is in restoring the world after TG and/or a possible breaking after TG.

  4. Have you tried to read the The Book of Unfinished Tales of JRR Tolkien? Terrible! It might be interesting, but after reading a few versions of the same story you just lose track!

Enough people here had trouble understanding the flashback of Rand and Mat's trip in EOTW, most of us would lose track when several versions of stories came along. And that's what would be published, because notes also contain loose ends and discarded plots.

  5. Is there any possibility that the notes RJ left will ever be published? We all know there are going to be many loose ends that are left after aMoL and I would love to read them. Even if it was in like a limited run collectors edition of all 13 books and the notes costing $500.

no. Notes are just too messy to give a good view on their own. Just what Barid Bel Medar says: the notes combined into an encyclopaedia is a better idea and is probably going to happen.

  6. My dad just posed a theory I haven't heard before. I wanted to get some ideas from you guys on it.

We know that the DO can bring back Forsaken as other people. We know that Asmodean was killed. We know that Mazrim Taim appeared to Rand after Asmodean was killed.

Things you might know but I don't know myself: was Asmodean permanently killed?

If we don't know for sure that Asmodean was permanently killed, could the DO not have returned Asmodean as Taim? We know that Taim is at least a DF, so it stands to reason that he could be Asmo since we know he's not Demandred. Taim also called the Aiel the "so called Aiel" which implies he knew the AOL Aiel.

    Thoughts?

If I remember correctly, Asmo was killed only days before Taim appeared before Rand. That seems too short a time for the DO to give Taim's body to Asmo. Beside that, the DO and the creator (RJ) both said that Asmo died the final death.

  7. I don't hate Rand, but each new book I'm having a harder time identifying myself with him, because of his madness, his bad temper, his inability to hurt women or to chose between women.

But I think that's the strength of WoT: even though you're not able to identify with a major character, there are always others.

    That doesn't sound right :D

    :D

You probably know what I mean. He has that in a softy kind of way: he kills male Forsaken asif he's having breakfast, but he can't kill women who'd kill him any time.
