Where's the mother's milk in a cup?
-
Renee I'll see you at maryland right?
-
By the way, if there aren't enough people that apply, can we sign up for a second time?
-
I'll be at the Maryland signing, I'll see you all there!
-
Tower Guard for life. To everyone who applies, this is an outstanding experience. I am saddened that I cannot help again, but I'll be out there at a signing to support the series! It's almost here :)

I heard that Gavid was the best character in the series. A crossbowman and complete badass? What a winner! He deserves his own book.

Thank you for sharing, but what the hell does this have to do with the Wheel of Time? I was waiting for a WOT game update of some sort, or at leas something WOT related. Can we move posts like this to the forums instead of the main page?

Well done fellas

I like them all except for Caemlyn. It's too flat, the old city is supposed to be more rolling and higher up, am I wrong?

Well, generally I think you can only feel the ability in women who have the spark naturally. The Sul'dam don't have the spark (those are the damane), but instead, can be trained. I think if they were trained, then others would feel the resonance (or whatever it is). I didn't remember the Aviendha quote, but perhaps that is a talent specific to her. Rand's girls are all full of surprises. As to the future of damane and sul'dam, I would like to think that Mat would play a role in abolishing the a'dams. Wouldn't that just be SO ironic. possible quote, "Burn me! Of course I hate the power... but, well it's just not right, blood and bloody ashes. You could tie them up and leave them for all I care just take those flaming collars off, light Tuon it's just, wrong!" lol, in the old tongue of course.

Agreed. It's Alivia and Nynaeve in a circle with Rand so that he can safely wield Callandor.
-
I have that FPS WOT game :) I had to install an internal OS that runs win95 just so I could play it because it wasn't compatible lol.
-
you can't just put every winner on the side of the light. That's just... well especially Moridin/Avi... I mean.. COME ON.

Speaking of AMOL, I just went to Brandon Sanderson's webpage, and he's started writing it! He is currently 2% done with the first draft! WOT FERVOR RESTORED! I feel like there was so much hype for the last book and then fan sites, blogs and forums just died immediately after the book came out (within a month). Happy to finally excited about WOT again lol.

I was just listening to the audiobook and chapter 42 - stronger than blood was on... I had the hugest shiver run down my back when Lan finally gave in and called for the people of Malkier to follow him to the last battle. that scene was so AWESOME! I could just imagine the swarms of Malkieri roaring for the golden crane. too epic!!!! sorry for the random post... i just had to share the feeling with somebody before I burst.

I like the scene in the beginning of the Great Hunt where Lan is teaching Rand sword forms. Nothing spectacular there, I love the scene.

I used amazon and did 2-day shipping and actually got it a day early! it was more to ship, but it still cost less than buying it at the store... plus I don't have a car at the moment and I didn't really want to walk to the bookstore lol.

The publishers are probably doing this to drive sales of the hardcopy books. The prices of these are higher and they don't want to lose money on production costs, but I DON'T think it's a selfish profiteering scheme. I'm not sure if e-books are factored into the NY Times bestsellers lists, but if they aren't I completely understand. This book is going to be a bestseller, and they wouldn't want to short-change the series a #1 spot by releasing the e-book immediately. It helps promote the series, so I'm not complaining. Give your eyes a rest from a screen and read an actual book, it could only help anyway.

I got mine in the mail yesterday. I'm in literal pain because, as a dental student, I am constantly being tested... I have 3 tests this week and haven't been able to read more than a few chapters. Thursday afternoon couldn't come any sooner. I want to have it read by the signing event.

so pumped for friday!
-
actually it's rgmitchelldds@gmail.com ... my bad.

I am incredibly honored! I promise I will not disappoint. Sorry to everyone who wasn't selected, but look at it this way: you all probably have a better chance for next year since people probably won't get selected again. You'll be able to be involved with A MEMORY OF LIGHT. How awesome is that? I haven't checked my email, but if everyone from the Hanover, MD location would like to email me to get in touch, my address is rgmitchedds@gmail.com. See everyone at the signing!

I'm assuming that means that no one has been notified yet and that you will notify everyone once Tor gives the ok, since they'd go blabbing on DM that they got picked... at least, that's what I'm hoping.

it's very foreboding... I want to know, but I don't want a negative outcome... lol it's like waiting for a blood test to come back... I'm 22 and it's giving me gray hair... ha... I'm with jemron and drwirz; can we get an update please? at least if the time-line set up is still correct... as in we'll either know today or not?

Aren't the dreams Egwene had about Gawyn returning from Caemlyn in time to defeat the bloodknives in the previous book?
