  1. "Ok lets start with a run to the river. If you feel you can not run any more walk, no jogging. The impact is unnatural and will destroy your knees." Sandre pointed a certain direction and continued his instructions "Run that way. You should see an few large boulders and brush in one area. Thats where we are going. I will catch up in a moment after I get some trainees to put away the training equipment left over."

Belig started running in the direction Sandre pointed to. Running as fast as he can he felt glad he made sure to strap down the weights tight to his body. Belig kept on running as long and hard as he could, losing Llewlyn after the first five minutes or so. I remember when i first started this... it was difficult, and it still is. I hope Llewlyn doesn't tip over though... it's rather hard to get up after falling forward if I recall... Belig pushed the thought from his mind and pushed on. controlling his breathing and maintaining his pace. "One, Two, Three, Four. one two three four." Belig made it to about the top of the hill after running for about half an hour and finally came to a walk. "*huff* well... *huff*  not as far *huff* as I wanted to *huff* go. *huff* but it'll do for today."

In truth Beligs legs were freaking killing him, and felt like they'd go out from under him at any moment, but he wasn't going to admit it. He kept trudging forward ignoring the pain as best as he could. He finally made it to the river about ten minutes after he had finished his dead run and then turned around and begun his long walk back to the white city.

  2. Belig listened with intense curiosity as Sandre gave out his instructions and filed the information to the back of his mind. Shouldn't be too hard, I did this before when father trained me... but where the weights so large back then? Bah! who cares?

Belig went over to the rack and looked through the chest and thigh weights and selected a set that weighed about his own weight. Light enough for me to maneuver and run in, and heavy enough to give me a proper work out.  Belig strapped each weight on with careful precision, remembering what his father had taught him in his few weeks of training.  Strap them on tight so they don't swing around and cause you to lose balance. If you ever have armor like that in a battle you might as well go in with nothing on at all.

Belig then looked over the iron rods and selected one that weighed about twice as much as the normal one handed longsword he was used to training with. then a thought occurred to him.

"sir, if I may ask; I was trained in the use of a sword and shield for a bit. Not a complete training but a start. Do you want me to use a second rod to set as a shield weight or are we working two handed forms?"

  3. Belig listened intently to the mistress of trainees as she explained the rules. after she was finished she dismissed Belig, and so he saluted and backed out as politely as he could.  well that could have gone better. But at least I'm in. Belig wandered the yards trying to soak in as much info as he could. "Well, I guess these are the first steps of my life."

  4. "Howdy there ! I'm betting that you're a new trainee like me. I'm Llewelyn Naese by the way, and I guess you're looking for some place to start training. Well follow me !"

Belig was taken aback by the sudden entry of this young boy into his personal space. Llewelyn had popped in and then left in such a rush, Belig could tell there was a sense of urgency to move toward the man carrying the heavy equipment. He must be the instructor I read about this morning... But why does he look so agitated?  Belig pushed the thought from his mind and followed Llewelyn towards the man and waited for Llewelyn to finish his introduction.

"Sir, Belig Zu'Katsu reporting for training sir!" Belig said as he snapped into his salute.  "What are your orders sir?"

  5. "I am Thera Trakelyn, the Mistress of Trainee's and your boss for the next few years should I choose to accept you." Leaning back she arched an eyebrow.

"Now, tell me why I should accept you?"

Straight to the point, this should be interesting. "Ma'am you should accept me because I promise to see my training to the end and then beyond it. My skills of observation may also come in handy if you need it, and I have already had a bit of training with a sword and shield, making the training easier for you or whomever is going to train me to stick. Those are the reasons I feel that you should accept me Ma'am."  Belig maintained his at the ready stance, watching for any visual clues from the mistress of trainee's for a sign of disapproval or approval. He had meant every word he said, Belig felt that his skills would be put to better use here, and that was the whole reason he wanted to be a warder.

  6. I feel your pain, under a deadline for day after tomorrow to turn in a 25 page bio project, a gigantic board with a American history presentation, and a 8 page English project. Trust me i know your pain...

  7. “Well boy, do you have a name? and you might as well tell me where you come from?” Said the woman who Belig now stood before. Even walking in the door he could tell the aura of dominance and command seeming to eminate this woman. Belig could tell that the woman was trying to hide the fact that she was pregnant, and she was doing very well at it too. Most normal people wouldn't notice, but that sword belt is obviously made for a slimmer shape and the clothes seem freshly sewn. Bah! snap out of it wool head!

Standing erect and coming into an attention stance, Belig quickly saluted in the fashion his father had taught him during the small amount of training he had. "I am Belig Zu'Katsu from Shinear my lady, Son of the Soldier Kain Zu'Katsu, and Scholar May Zu'Katsu. May I ask to know who I'm addressing Ma'am?" Belig said in a respectful and controlled tone.

  8. (ooc: yea Belig is armed with a sword and a few other things in his pack)

Belig listened as Visar spoke while the walked. This guy's got one heck of a love for the city, but thats a good thing As Belig and Visar grew closer to the gigantic tower, he noticed that the wall around it wasnt that big. I guess they dont have a fear of theives, who'd be dumb enough to rob a gigantic tower with barracks and everything?

Belig followed Visar up to the great wooden door, and watched as Visar knocked three times on the door rather loudly. Well I guess this is it. Now to take my first step forward.

  9. "Alright, I'm ready, let's go.  I'm Visar by the way, what's your name, Shienaran?"

Belig got up and stretched a bit, pretending not to have noticed the reaction that Visar just had over the question. How was I supposed to know that you go right to the tower to be a trainee? I thought they would keep it seperate.. Shaking off his train of thought, Belig turned to Visar.

"Belig is my name. Belig Zu'Katsu. Thanks for taking me where i need to go, as I'm sure you can tell my sense of direction stinks when I can't orient myself. How do you city folk figure out which way is north without any mountains?"

  10. "I know the city better than some, though I've gotten lost here before." the man in the chain mail said,  "Surely I can help you find wherever you're going, or I can direct you to a Tower Guard that does know.  Where do you need to go?"

Belig was taken a bit aback by this generous gesture, he wasn't used to having some be so polite. "well the thing is, i dont know too much myself. I'm trying to find wherever I have to go to become a warder trainee at the tower. Although I haven't a clue where to start looking! You wouldn't happen to know where i need to go would you?"

  11. Belig noticed the man who had just walked into the tavern. He took even greater notice in the fact the man was wearing chain mail and a sword.  He looks like he's ready for a fight. Gotta admit though, doesn't look too menacing. But then again I've seen bandits that look scary... Belig took a swig from his mug and returned to ponder over his wanderings of the day. "Lets see here, I took two left's, a right, then another left... Bah! that's not it!" Belig muttered.

"You all right Goodman?" the man in chain mail asked, "You dont look like you're from around here." Belig nearly jumped out of his skin. He hadn't noticed the fact the man sat down next to him. Bloody ashes I think I let all these directions go to my head! Jumping out of my skin cause a guy sat next to me! Light! "No I'm not from around here, hehe. I'm from Shinear actually and this is my first time to the white city. I've seem to become a bit lost."

  12. Belig Zu'Katsu was lost.... He had been wandering around Tar Valon for the last couple of days, letting the winding streets take him. However since he decided to become a trainee he had one major issue... All the streets looked the same to him.

"How the blood and ashes does anyone make their way around this place! Ugh!" Belig muttered to himself. Then a thought occurred to Belig. "Where am I even supposed to go to become a trainee???" Sighing Belig walked into a tavern that he was passing and took a seat and ordered a drink from the bartender.

"Where to go now..." Belig thought to himself, "where to go now?"
