Yeah, the “Wheel” concept is brilliant, even if it bends real-world history a bit. And I agree about Herid Fel - he felt like he had more to offer. It does make you wonder if RJ had bigger plans but just ran out of narrative space, especially with how much focus went to side plots in the middle books.

I think a lot of people feel that way about WOT-there are deeper themes and connections that aren’t always openly discussed. Sometimes the “enlightenment” comes from putting the pieces together yourself. You’re probably not the only one who’s noticed it.
