Oh I know why! Useless trivia: on some platforms, the polar bear is represented by a combination of the snowflake and the brown bear. I wonder if that's what's going on here. Edited to add: I know it depends on your system, don't recall the details. Infamously used to happen with stuff like black cats, where it'd come out as a cat and black circle/square.
