Moiraine kissed her. Moiraine and Siuan are canonically lovers, sorry if that bugs you.
Just checked it - the quote is "a warm hug between old friends" not a kiss. However the change does not bug me (although if later relationships with males occur as in the books it could cause some controversy).

They also made Egwene's explanation to Aviendar of the actual two rivers customs (which were for pre-marital sex under strict conditions and controlled by the female partner - and very reasonable since checking the virility of the male partner is a wise precaution before marriage) a plot point later in the book. Belonging to possibly the only all male household in the area gave Rand a very sheltered view.

Interesting that you refer to entropic myths. I have always preferred to think of the dark one in WOT as a personification of entropy more than of evil - a necessary (when properly restrained) third aspect of the true source which causes the wheel of time to turn in the direction our perceptions thinks of as forwards. The "evil" that results from releasing this force is a matter of human perception (and human action when choosing to serve this force) - the force itself has no moral compass and uses whatever means will achieve its ends - advancing the universe to the point of total dissolution (which is what Moridin ultimately wanted in his most nihilistic moments). Likewise the situation (depicted as far as Rand could conceive it) resulting from the destruction of this force would be of stasis to the point of meaninglessness.
