  1.

    My tree main characters:

Robert Laurel. 39. (I'm trying to decide if he's married to the Amyrlin and if they have children). Lifelong soldier. Commander-in-Chief Imperial Army.

Elaine Treherne. 39. Spymaster. Colonel. River Tam and Black Widow without the issues. Trained gymnast, acrobat and ballet dancer. Best swordfighter, pistol shot and horse rider in the army.

Erin Laurel. 40. Head of house. Fabulously wealthy. She's Minister of Commerce because she has so much money she can't be bribed. Widowed young. Has a 15-year-old daughter, Julie, who along with attending school is learning the family business.

Lots of room for characters. Who wants to be the Amyrlin or the Keeper? Who wants to be a general? Who wants to be an AS?

  2. Everyone has access to clean water, air and food. There are paved roads everywhere. There is free education up through high school. Students who qualify get free tuition and room and board at the various colleges and universities.

The Black Tower has relocated to the Southern Continent and they take no part in world affairs, but they do maintain recruiting offices in most of the towns and cities. When a man is found who can channel, they sponsor a huge celebration, pay his parents a large stipend and ship him south for training. AS are encouraged to marry and have children and to go out and work among regular people.

  3. The world situation . The last descendant of Matt and Tuon is dead, killed in the battle and won back the Seanchan continent. The new ruler is starting to look acquisitively at the Dragon Empire and has made an alliance with Shaara. The Amyrlin Seat is also the Empress. The capital has been moved to Tar Valon. Great scientific progress has been made. Gunpowder, muskets, cannon, telegraph, telephones, steamships, ironclads, lighter-than-air airships.

  4. "General Robert Laurel with Colonel Elaine Treherne" he said to The Keeper. "I have an appointment with the Amyrlin Seat." He was here to report the successful completion of his mission to Manetheren. It had taken nearly two years, but he had finally managed to drive the trollocs and darkfriends back into their caves in the mountains. Unfortunately the enemy had learned how to make muskets and cast artillery. He had finally caught them in a killing ground where they couldn't retreat and killed them by the thousands. He and his people were exhausted, needed to replace their losses and rest. Tar Valon was their home and they badly needed to spend time with their loved ones. He and the Amyrlin had known each other for years and he liked to think they were friends. They had grown up together and had even thought they might marry until she was appropriated by the Tower. He had taken half of the Guard, about a corps, two divisions of infantry, one of cavalry and supporting units. Only a couple of thousand of the enemy had escaped to retreat into the caves and canyons of the Mountains of Mist where it would take several generations to build back up their strength. Sharra Aybara, his second-in-command, was with his chief of staff seeing to the troops de-training and getting back to their barracks.

(Thin British Napoleonic uniforms and tech. This is not the Age of Napoleon. It is Napoleonic era tech with balloons, telegraph and railroads added in. along with Ironclads and steam power. )

  6. For the Napoleon RP there would be muskets, cannons and primitive steamships. For the VictorianWW1 RP there would be zeppelins, pre-dreadnought ships and primitive heavier-than-air planes. Also machine guns. Development of primitive tanks later. Limited use of Channeling because it could quickly get too destructive. The Seanchan and Shara against everyone else.

  7. I would like to do RPs with the technical setting the Napoleonic wars tech or Victorian/World War One tech. Probably a lot of steampunk. Tar Valon would have the position of Great Britain.

  8. On a couple of boards I've been, there was quite a use if ter'angreals and the power to ease the life of the common people and to run mechanical devices. How about devices to provide light, heating for warmth and cooking, fresh, clean water doe running water and sewage kines, etc. Plus devices to run steam engines for locomotives and steamships. Plus they can power elevators in the White Tower. Novices would no longer have to carry buckets of water up flights of stairs for some Sister to have a both. Every suite would have a bath and show and private toilet.

  9. I'm looking to get back into WoT RPGing. I've been Master at Arms, Captain ht the Tower and Marshal-General of Tar Valon on several sites. Retired two-star who served in the Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan. Helped plan the invasion of Afghanistan after 9/11 and inserted in the first wave. If you have any big wars planned I can help. I have two characters in mind. One is a mercenary general who has entered the Tower's service. The other is a female master spy who is the besr fighter in Tar Valon. She also gets huinches but her talent cannot be trained.
