Jalic Blades Aes Sedai Ring Preorder delivery estimate has officially shifted to January 2023. So it is now 4 months behind original estimates.

As a heads up, the Jalic Blades ring has been continuously pushed back in its preorder timeframes.

Originally slated to mail in late October, then late November, now late December.  

The company is terrible at informing preorder backers of the shift, and the only way to tell is to go onto the site and search for the ring to see if they updated the text. 

I’m not saying that it won’t be produced, or won’t be entirely worth it, as with any preorder there is an understood level of uncertainty. (I for one still am preordered and plan to wait it out.)

That said they have posted only a single FB update saying its taking longer than expected, this back after they missed the October target, and they do not respond to questions asked through their customer service link. 

Do maybe wait till they settle the boondoggle they find themselves in with the ring before buying - cuz it sure as heck looks like this isn’t gonna make it in time for the holidays. 

(Note that they do offer full refunds for cancellations up through the actual shipping so this is less about “risk” and more about a holiday gift guide suggestion missing the holiday)

Lol, of course they release it as I finally got my original copy working on Win 11 proper-like.

Still a favorite of mine.

What grates with me is Moiraine and Lan.

Lan, uber Warder, stomping in to a public place like some cheap cowboy, boots (or something) jangling so hard a Trolloc could hear him miles off? Then posing until all attention is on him, giving his name, then announcing Moiraine for every possible Darkfriend in the area to know within days? And Moiraine flaunting herself like that? She acted more like Liandrin would have.

Yeah but I can tell why its done. To capture new tv audiences you want to give them the impression Lan is… something nigh legendary. Like as you say a cowboy entering the saloon. Or a knight entering.

Hell if it helps just imagine how loud he’d be if it was the EotW cover version of Lan with all that armor he never actually ever wears. lol

Sadly "ANY" deviation has already lost a portion of the hardliners.

I however have high hopes. Its clearly being made to follow TV based pacing. Compressing essentially an entire chapter's introduction of Moiraine into a single scene.

That said the set design is gorgeous. The costuming choices have assuaged some concerns I had with the early on preview photos. The first music drop was wonderful and the throwaway tavern theme here is lovely too.

That said my goal for any series was for it to bring NEW blood into our fold. We are not getting any younger as a community after all. ? I think this has the marks of something brewing.

I loved everything about this.

The feeling was so good. Jovial atmosphere drops to worry when Lan enters...then even that deepens to fear when Sedai is uttered.

So subtle a change but perfectly executed.

Lmao, your post has so much detail in It but I too had a little rant about the city potentially being backwards based on the groves and the east and west wings over on the discussion forum.

Because it is worth noting. In 2 days (as of this posting) the fundraiser has pulled in 28345 of 70000.

In 2 days...its at 40%.

That's incredible, especially during a time when many around the world and inevitably within the WoT fandom are dealing with so much.
