Suvudu is about to start their Cagematch and we don't want to compete against that. Also, this actually took quite a bit if time behind the scenes to put together. The volunteers involved need a break. We're glad you guys enjoyed it this much. We had fun too.

I considered that. However, I believe that neither makes the majority of his income from WoT art commissions and so remain eligible in the Fan Artist category as I understand it. Someone with a greater understanding of Hugo eligibility requirements is free to correct me, however.

I'm not sure why comments are being deleted. I don't see anything in the moderation log, so it's got to be a bug n the site.

You guys are voting in the polls Dwyn linked to right? Votes posted here don't count.
-
Yeah, this is why I'm not in charge of tech support around here.

It's enabled by default when you register. But for reference, click your profile, select "My Settings" and then look under "Notification Options".

Don't take this to mean that the other articles aren't getting good traffic. It's just that the AMOL stuff blows everything else out of he water. Our AMOL info page is the single most popular page on the entire site.

They were up for auction at the first JordanCon.
-
The last time a group did this, the bidding ended at around $8K. This one is not for the faint hearted.

It's battle ready. Or at least they were when we bought ours.
-
That's a question for Brandon, honestly. I'll get back to you.

Gawyn can die in a fire.

Luckers isn't able to do them anymore. We'll see about getting someone else to do them.

LAN carries the sword of the Malkieri kings which does not have a heron.

Yeah, it's coming tomorrow. We got excited and asked for extra special effects this week, so Jonathon needed extra time. It's coming!
-
No, we've just hit a snag in production. We're still working on the podcast.
-
Unfortunately, yes.

Luckers has computer issues. We'll get one up for next month.

It was still on going when we posted the article. So there.

Sweet's been working since the 70's. In the 80's and early 90's he was THE go to guy for fantasy book covers. He was nominated for a Hugo back in the 80's as well. That's why Tor picked him as the illustrator for the Wheel of Time. Sweet was at the height of his career and it was a mark of how much faith the company had in the new series. (Much like Tor getting Michael Whelan for the first Stormlight Archive book for Brandon.) And it doesn't help that tastes have changed so his covers look pretty dated now.
So yeah, Sweet's art and his reputation aren't what they once were, but that doesn't take away from his very long, very respected career.

No, Jason is #1. I'm #2.

Brandon's website was being upgraded, so he was unable to update the progress bar. It's fixed now and AMOL stands at 12%.
Also, you should go read this. http://journal.neilgaiman.com/2009/05/entitlement-issues.html

ReluctantaAlpha, if you click through to liruchen's gallery, you'll see the name of the piece is "Aram Saves Perrin." So there.

He got a once in a lifetime opportunity to tour Australia this month, well after we signed our hotel contracts. It's not something he could turn down, nor would we expect him to. And after all, this is JORDANcon, not BRANDONcon. There's plenty of fun to be had without him.
