  1. Bet. The last two games the pats played the chiefs, they gave up at least 31 points in only the second half. First time playing brady is going to be nerve racking. This guy is an all time great and probably a personal idol, yet he still recovers and puts up 43 on a defense that has only allowed that a handful of times. Second time they meet in the afc champ game. More nerves and a new cover 0 scheme that has him confused. Great adjustments at half and another 31 points (lets forget about the fact that if dee ford hadnt lined up off sides we probably would have won the game right there.) Now we have a more patient and focused qb whose seen it before. He knows Hill is going to get doubled, stephon will probably cover kelce, but now we have Mercole hardman, this dude is only marginally slower than hill. Watkins taking underneath routes with two speedsters cutting up the backfield and kelce deep middle field. Dont forget mahomes is getting comfortable running on teams when they go man coverage. There's just no way someone cant get open, assume hill will be locked down and literally just use him to pull coverage. We also have one of the best olines for pass protection this year, even though it doesn't always seem like it. Only issue is whether this committee of Rbs can actually get going. I liked what i saw late in the 4th last week from thompson so well see. Now for the Pats side of the ball. receivers are weak, run game is struggling, brady doesn't seem like himself. They had a vanilla schedule and then got surprised when they lose to two teams that are actually worth talking about, one of which we have beat the last two years, so now here is to three ? well, we beat them twice, and also in baltimore, so bring it ?
  2. mhmm you still standing by this? Might feel differently when we crush them sunday ?
  3. agreed ^ honestly feel like a lot of GOT was just that way because that is what HBO does. If GOT had been on amazon it probably would have been less in your face T&A and more tasteful.
  4. When i think about it, its pretty simple. Lets be real. There's not a lot of teenagers who haven't seen GOT. If you have kids and your dont want your kids to see it and can actually enforce it great, have them wait until they are 18. Same thing can apply to this show. Have them read the books. If the show is too mature then dont have younger views watch until they are older, the reality is that they can watch anytime they want and more than likely have access to other content as well. cough cough. Personally i like an adult feel to tv shows. Im an adult and think it makes things more real. I dont appreciate gratuitousness to be clear but i shouldn't be penalized so a 12 year old can watch tv. Go play outside. When i was speaking of battles i was kind of picturing the battle of dumas wells (probably butchered that) and how grizzly that will be. Its people killing people and then being blendered at the end. Its not just going to be these epic battles with a binary good vs evil agenda with fast paced cameras zipping around so you never really focus on people. Id imagine it will be pretty violent. Im more interested to know how they will portray rands conversations with lews therin. Honestly theres alot of dialogue in peoples heads that will be missed out on ?
  5. why are they "crazy" sex scenes? Its just sex and it did happen in the books and itll be shown in the show in some format. Simply because Jordan didn't try his hand at erotica doesn't mean that there wasn't plenty of it or that it wasn't important. As for the other comment, i for one do want a bloody and explicit version. This book is not wholesome pg 13 story, there are hangings, slavery, mind control, beheading, countless murders, sexual degradation and humiliation along with plenty of battles. Just because it might come off across as okay to let kids read this, a visual representation is most definitely for adults. IMHO
  6. where did you find this info? twitter? or is there a site with updates?
  7. why is polygamy such a big deal for the show to pull off? Polygamy/open relationships are starting to become quite popular, why do we need to cut this just to appease a few people who take things a little to seriously?
  8. I've seen that Rafe intends on depicting the show for a wide range of ages. I'm interested to know what other people think. Ive seen pros and cons for both.
  9. haha dont worry!! the Wheel will still be there in a month. And the first three is a great idea.
  10. The series in my opinion is better than ASOIAF. Id rather watch game of thrones then read it. On the other hand when you read WOT it's almost as if you are in the series. Jordan skirts around adult content but doesn't ignore it. The characters, worlds, and cultures far out number the ones in game of thrones as well as the way they grow. rand for one changes into much more then a simple boy through it all, he changes alot. It's dramatic and thrilling and keeps your mind racing for more. There's violence everywhere you look if that's a factor.. i've read every book at least twice some as many as 5 times and it still takes me by surpise how much i love this series.. i still havent even finished book 4 of game of thrones.. frankly its just not one the same level as WOT. p.s. While Eye of the World is a good book.. you should certainly get book two as well. That's where the story really starts to pick up and makes you and addict :) hope this helps your decision!
  11. ah yea! it Ishy let the good times roll

  13. Intrigued by the man who stood before him junoku stood in wrapped attention. He agreed with the statements on staying in defensive while following from attack to attack. Although that's what the left blade was for. Being cast from a sturdier material but smaller in size, which allowed it too counter attacks and still remain solid after a beating. Lower the blades he took a step back and contemplated the question his new mentor had just asked him. Slowly he replied. "I know of none. We never used swords in the under ground of ilian."
  14. Junoku release the man's hand and took a respectable step back, looking curiously at the man who shook with laughter! Bewildered, he decided that he must persist through this trial. The man was testing him to see how he handled constuctive criticism. Then after wiping the tears from his face the man spoke, replying to his comment, and to Junoku's horror he realized his own error, one should not expect to learn everything, otherwise they would be only a fool who in the end learns nothing at all. Nodding curtly he bowed and placed his eyes to the ground as was custom to one of the brotherhood who had shamed themselfs. Then a wooden sword landed in front of him, and within seconds he saw another sword clatter to the ground. Picking them up he twirled them around deftly but without knowing really what he was doing. The warder requested him to strike at him and without a second thought, he spang forward one sword coming down the other from the side. The warder causully blocked both blades, but shouted. "Not like that! slower!" Slowly swinging his own sword toward junoku. Junoku replied in the same and realized that this would be quite different then the training he had recived in the underground, then he said. "My name is Junoku. And what do you call yourself."
  15. Sore and weary from the late trials that had befallen him, Junoku clambered down the greened hills encompassing the training yard. Pulling his hood so only strands of his long white mane showed he shifted the double scabbard on his back. His black cloak trailed behind him but never hindering his movement. At last he arrived at the area most populated by warders and tower guards. Letting his gaze flicker to each and everyone. The best was the only option for him, he had always been a hard worker and a diligent learner, and he figured the best training came from the harshest of teachers. Those were the ones that make your muscles ache for days, and your mind burn with new knowledge that you might not have even believed possible. Like back from his home city where he had never believe the frightful tales of Aie Sedi, and then before his very eyes he meets one casting lightning like the sun cast shadows. At last he found a man who bore a blade and a thousand scars, the sun gleamed down on him, making the sweat glisten on his body. Watching ever move and twitch of his body, Junoku mentally stored even this small amount of knowledge, swords were the work of the rich and he had never needed any, when he could merely poison the wine they would embellish in that night, or swift dagger across the throat after sleep had taken it blissful embrace. The man spun in a passion fill Ecstasy as he flowed from form to form, their eyes met and the man slowed his dance just as suddenly as he started. Stepping forward he offered his hand, and in a deep voice ask. "Good afternoon. May I help you with something?" Junoku meet his eyes and levely said. "I want to learn everything."
