Was this movie considered a blockbuster?

It was a great scene. I think you're right about the rushed feeling, it would have used a lot more episodes to explain stuff. It felt like important things were cut,

as for the wall though... it seemed like maybe they'd defeated the white walkers before but they came back so maybe they expected a far future return? 

I'm not sure about the book but we can hope :).

yeah I thought it was really well done. I enjoyed it except for that one very badly lit episode and small huh moments like.... why would Jon have admitted that or did the dragon talk or what? And... that was really not a lot of rubble on top of the royal couple, or ten feet to either side, but eh, I think that's how they wanted it and how much digging could Tyrion have done alone anyway.

people didn't seem to see Dany's descent into madness coming or else thought she didn't deserve the ending she got but I think that was foreshadowed from way back and it couldn't have gone any other way.

and all the quibbling about who should have been the rightful king when I think, in the show for certain, the whole series is about how bad inherited royalty can get.

I admit there were a few things in the last season that I facepalmed over, but I was really shocked by how much people seem to have hated the series finale.

If there's anything to reveal I think it will be mentioned at the con. If nothing is mentioned at the con I'd take that as a sign that nothing is actually moving along, cause Harriet et al most definitely want to maintain interest here.

I know Narg gets sad when I say this, but for real, we waited for a lord of the rings movie from back when the Beatles tried to get the rights in the 60s through the neverending Bakshi story, then some other animated bits,  until Jackson finally did the thing at the turn of the century, almost 40 years later.

no, I can't really post anything specific but in general, somewhere between the lord of the rings and game of thrones I guess.

and of course Perrin doesn't get left out of any series or film if any is ever done and I'm still not holding my breath.  Perrin was the author, that's how Jordan put himself in the story. And there will be 3 arcs at least for each of the boys and maybe one or two for the girls but given the general misogyny of the industry maybe not.

again, I don't see this happening and like you I have no say. Just my opinion.

Not a fan of the confederacy and unable to transfer the scene into my feelings about the books. Also looked like a long time killer of a scene that meant nothing good to me so. Ya. 

AMC has done wonderful things without pissing away money. I don't think they'll do it here as some of the ppl involved are shady as hell and it hurts them little to shelve this thing for a more profitable time in the never never. But I love just about everything AMC does so that's not the dealbreaker.

as for getting something that gives all of us what we want... lol... of course zero, we don't all want the same things and a lot of us seem to want a verbatim screen play from the books. I don't but people do.

of course we will always have the books and I don't care if no one else ever reads them because I did, and people I know did, and that's good enough for me.  We lose nothing no matter what happens. Unless we get a cut of the publication profits which we don't so... ya.

no he still does that and i’m accustomed to swearing. the brit show was just all around better done imo. i enjoyed the bits where he and the kids raised food animals and mom was just like no please not in the house. it was a well put together variety food show. 

He can be very funny. I tried watching the US version of the F word recently but something was missing somehow. 

Judging by so,e of the people involved, and the late entry into a genre that’s getting stale, I can see it getting a low budget treatment. Some of my favorite shows have been done on amc for bupkis so I could see it being ok that way. I mostly can’t see it happening at all tho.

House of cards got cancelled for other reasons too. There’s a vacuum at Netflix, they might look to do WoT frugally, no?

Would you watch it "without any music"?

 

I mean there would be zero (cheesy) background music, except the voices of Moi and Mierin, Thom's flute, dancing in the inns etc.

watch legosi’s dracula and the first frankenstein, before they really knew how to handle talkies and didn’t use background music.

now watch the bride of frankenstein, just a little later but with so much more knowledge of the media. lovely background music. not in your face or overpowering, but it makes the whole experience better.

there needs to be background music, it’s just unpleasant without it.

I do t understand any of this except the part where the writer says you don't need a PlayStation to watch PlayStation vue... but also it won't work on iOS. You probably will understand better.
