I'm so impressed by all of these, too. It's been a really good couple months for WoT art.

Ah, I just get tired of featuring the same artists and characters all the time. Occasionally it's nice to mix things up a bit. Plus, I like to think it's nice exposure for these artists.

Beautiful artwork! Only criticism is of the "Bain and Chiad" piece - the Maidens of the Spear have very short hair with only a thin tail in back, so the longer hair on one and braids on the other aren't really accurate. Also, wasn't one of them blond?

I guess that's why they call it artistic license!

Seriously, though, it's rare for fan artists on the fringe of one or many fandoms to be as detailed-oriented as the hardcore fans of any particular series. The point of FAF for the next few weeks is to feature artists on the fringe of the WoT fandom who stand out because of their impressive technical skills. So there might be more breaks with canon than usual. Them's the breaks :P

Didn't this happen on the docks in Cairhien? They had taken all the ter'angreal from Rhuidean across the Waste on a train of wagons.

I bought the first book in 2009, when I was 17. In these past three years I've read it whole 5 times (except for tGS and ToM, only 3 and 2 times). Actually, I'm re-reading it now. I'm on the 17th book (or 11th depending on edition), so soon enough I will have read it 6, 4, and 3 times xD

Welcome! My suggestion is anything and everything that appeals to you in the WoT universe! I'm more a fan of the good guys than the bad guys, personally (and I'm obsessed with anything to do with Mat or the dark/crazy version of Rand). But I'd love anything you decided to do (and probably feature it, too!). Not very specific, I know, but if I get really inspired by a specific idea I just paint it myself (for better or worse) :P

(As an aside, I know the trollocs are supposed to have human eyes but I think the effect of the red eyes in the otherwise colorless painting is totally inspired.)

I agree with you all. I was going to do a week of serious images and a week of silly ones, but I ran out of time to dig for several really good serious ones (yay for final exams ...). For some reason, I had all of these on my computer already ...

There will be a follow-up with some properly scary Halfmen, I promise! (maybe not next week, though ... there may be something else in the works ...)
