Who is the Lord of Chaos?
Is it the DO? is it Moridin?
I forgot.
The Lord of Chaos is a referral to Rand's dark path. The Dark One is constantly influencing him into becoming the Blind Champion - his ultimate weapon. The Dark One would rather Rand was turned than killed, and until Veins of Gold he is succeeding in his plans. Taim doesn't understand the full meaning of the phrase yet still uses it.
There is also this ref...
LoC
The lions sing and the hills take flight.
The moon by day, and the sun by night.
Blind woman, deaf man, jackdaw fool.
Let the Lord of Chaos rule.
—chant from a children's game heard in Great Arvalon, the Fourth Age

So I was doing a reread of George R.R. Martin's "A Feast For Crows" and noticed this for the first time. Asha Greyjoy and Lord Rodrick are discussing the upcoming Kingsmoot and Rodrick says
Archmaester Rigney once wrote that history is a wheel, for the nature of man is fundamentally unchanging. What has happened before will perforce happen again, he said.Pretty cool. Does anyone know if RJ has gotten mentions like this in any other series?

Question:
Was is it that Moridin seems to be the only one among the Forsaken to remember the countless fightings and turnings of the Wheel. Other Chosen should be in the same kind of mental "disorder" of they also knew, shouldn't they ? They only seem to remember the AoL.
Also, why don't the other Chosen understand that the DO wants to kill time, turn everything into nothing ?
Moridin's mental disorder comes from extensive use of the True Power and being the only Forsaken to be partially sealed in the Dark Ones prison. He was thrown out of the prison in regular cycles and the strain of being torn between the world and endless sleep is what drove him mad.
His beliefs on countless fighting and turning of the wheel is a combination of his being a philosopher and the madness.

there is the distinct possibility that there are blue eyed dark skinned people in shara I think there is a very distinct possibility that there is areas of the sharan landmass that Noal has not seen that it is of equa; opportunity as him being seanchan
Noal says in part "Dark as a Sharan. But I'd swear he has blue eyes. I've seen the like before, but where?"
Yes there might be large parts of Shara Noal hasn't scene but he did travel fairly extensively and the quote pretty clearly rules it out. With the rarity that this combination seems to be based on his exclamation of surprise, you would think even if he hadn't been to a specific part of Shara that had people like that he would have learned about them in his travels. The fact that the memory is foggy hints at it somehow being wrapped up with his compulsion to me.

Question: What caused the ripple of the world that happened during KoD?
Just reiterating my question. What was with the ripple that went over the world in KoD!?!?!?
I always thought it was just one of the random bubbles of evil that had been popping up. Thoughts on another possibility prob have to go in the ToM spoiler thread.

In past lives has the Dragon ever gone over to the Shadow? We have a few quotes supporting this but in a recent thread it was mentioned RJ went back on the earlier interviews and the Dragon never went over. If true would love to see that quote and some clarification. Thanks.
The way I interpret RJ's quotes is that in the past, non "Dragon soul" Champions of the Light have gone over, but the "Dragon soul" itself has never been turned to the Shadow. For example, an incarnation of the Hawkwing soul could have turned to the Shadow in the past while it was the Champion of the Light, but the LTT/Rand soul has never ever been turned.
Is there any indication that the CoL has been one of the other Heroes of the Horn like Hawkwing? Or has it always been the LTT/Rand soul?

This comes up a lot.
RJ said yes, that soul has gone over before and the result was a draw.
However, the "Dragon" was a political name for Lews Therin.
Which is why Rand is "The Dragon Reborn"
Since neither Lews, nor Rand has ever gone over to the Shadow, technically the "Dragon" never has.
Thanks for clearing that up Doc! The quotes we have are so strong for the CoL soul going over I didn't think RJ would go back on that.

How does the taint on the ways affects Saidar?
In EOTW Moiraine is reluctant to set wards when traveling in the Ways. She says "You feel the taint, the corruption of the Power that made the Ways. I will not use the One Power in the Ways unless I must. The taint is so strong that whatever I tried to do would surely be corrupted." EOTW Ch. 46
So with Saidin and Saidar being opposite to the point that they repel each other and in describing The Cleansing RJ said it was safe to make a conduit using Saidar because there can be no mixing how would the taint "corrupt" her channeling? Thanks in advance for any clarity!
