Wii too Weak for Oblivion

The Nintendo Wii may be the hot gaming console at the moment (at least according to your gandma, who loves Wii Bowling) but Bethesda software is not hopping on the Wii train right now.

In an interview with Shacknews, Bethesda's Peter Hine said the reason his company's incredibly popular RPG Oblivion is coming to the PS3 and not The Wii is because the Wii just can't handle all that awesome.

"Our philosophy is to [decide] what game we want to make, then determine which platforms can run that game," Hine said. "[Oblivion] is not really going to run on a Wii for example, but if it could we would put it there."

So there you go. Sorry, Wii-heads. No Oblivion for you right now. Maybe in the future, we'll see some Elder Scrolls combat with the Wii-mote...but for now, no dice.

Hine also lauded the new shading technology exclusive to the PS3 port of the RPG, saying it will make the game's already amazing graphics even more realistic.
