Honestly, I prob have a higher scum read on Tsuki, who looks terrible imo (going for lynchbait, not as aggressive as normal, overuse of memes to try and fit in)

 

But RTE is def the better lynch for today. His OP def wasn't good, and neither was his response to a couple of votes, but more importantly he can also potentially give us some more info on everyone else. For instance, if he flips town, then I think Vos will need to be looked at more closely. If he flips scum, then we can look closer at Wombat and Cory, who both kinda soft defended him.

 

And, not to be harsh, but as others have pointed out, RTE DOES usually look pretty wolfy as town. If he IS town this game, I'd rather remove the distraction then leave a good mislynch for scum to use later on.

While the trend lately has been for me to back off of a D1 train when the target claims VT, in this case I'm not buying it. Claim came way too early, and RTE's snarky defensiveness at the end looks waaaaaay fake to me.

I never thought I'd swap you for Cory but this game I would in a heartbeat. Not to mention at least Cory was town. But this is ridiculous. Even for you. I think it's real frustration - but not sold it's town frustration. Call it tunneling if you will, but everything RTE posts just reaffirms my vote. I think his team-mates got busy when he started getting heat and it has worked. I actually get that, my cory fight was, in retrospect, really dumb. I wish I had read the whole thread before attacking him, I appear to have hit him RIGHT as his "WIM" was at a low point for being suspected already. I didn't expect him to just collapse, but yeah, my early posting could look scummy if you don't know our history.

More seriously - especially to Red who pointed it out - I was expecting Cory to come into the game self-clearing-guns blazing, and being completely (to me at least) unreadable. From so far in the game I do lean scum on him. I think the "Wim-loss" and subsequent "threatening" behavior looks über-scummy. But again I'm not confident in my own ability to read Cory so I want to hold off for now, see how his playing carries on and take it from there.

Before I respond to the quote below I want to make a statement that I sincerely hope is understood.  Suiciding by manipulation of a game mechanic or for any reason that is intentional is something that is bannable for several of the moderators on this site, myself being one of them.  It has been pushed to be a ban from this forum because it is manipulation of something outside of the game and thus against the spirit of play.  With that said let's continue.

This is odd in its' entirety.  "Rest assured" is a statement made to comfort someone before.  "See who's taking advantage" implies that everyone else is inherently at fault.  The first one is a scum tell and the second is simply illogical so perhaps it should be expounded on for Hallys' sake, as she may give a clearer read than Cory right now.  

 

@Hally, there may be people who are taking advantage of this if you two are indeed town.  However, you can't make the above statements and anticipate to be taken seriously ever because they are all made from the perspective of someone who already knows their alignment.  If you assume that we are inherently wrong then you aren't paying good attention to your hydra partner or aren't being logical based on his impassioned plea.  I'll tell you exactly what I've seen from Cory.  He cares about games as town, yes.  I like that a lot about him.  What I don't like is that he can't handle the pressure of being scrutinized.  That's a huge flaw in his town game (if this is indeed his town game, I've never seen this from him before) and instead of him responding adequately as we are used to seeing Cory do, providing us with reasons that he should stay around all that he has done is exacerbate the behaviors that got him here in the first place.  To the point of things those are: Immense ATE.  Cory is usually passionate, here he reads as beggarly, pleading with people to recognize him as town without giving reason to do so.  He is looking for "ways out".  Why?  My simplest question of his play so far.  Why does he need to be out of the spotlight so aggressively?  Can he not handle the pressure of being under the aforementioned scrutiny?  None of us know since he hasn't been in this position before and his reaction to it has been so bombastic that it appears from the outside like he will do anything to avoid being voted.  That's a classic scumtell though I am sure you knew that.  The biggest is that his tone has changed.  Cory is trying to play to each person voting him.  Nobody likes that, nobody experienced at least.  I can't see a town sentiment in the lot of these things because ultimately all that they tell me is that Cory doesn't want to be lynched.  That's the message being sent, not "Cory wants to win".  The difference is tangible in his posts and play thus far and so... choo choo.

 

Oh, for the record I have been that D1 lynch enough times to know very well how frustrating it is to be critiqued like this Cory.  I say I want you to show me why we shouldn't lynch you and you, in your emotional state, feel like you've done that but you honestly haven't.  I can't tell you a way that consistently works to defend yourself in mafia because there is no defense for your own reactions and misconstrued interactions with other people.  Accept it and move forward with this lesson.  It was quite humbling for me to realize that on D1 if people think you're scummy then you don't have much that you can do.    Even if you did you'd be more of a hindrance to town the rest of this game than a help anyhow.

 

 

Red you think everything is scummy.  Define "Scummy" please and then show it to me the next time you come across it.  Atm you've devalued the word to the point that I don't much care about your reads.

Anyway more interestingly is how you go for Darthe in this post. You call his list crap, but it seems largely due to you disagreeing on who he finds scummy. It's a rather deep line in the sand for a relatively new game IMO

You also go pretty far in your defence of RTE and it's purely based on meta in summary (dudes a walking magnet for votes I believe was the phrase)

Also here on this page though was Tsuki coming in and making jokes which is odd. From what ive seen from Tsuki is hes generally much more into the game and pretty good at casing. Want more.
