Seems our old thread got corrupted. Here were the things we were discussing about this upcoming season.

Eric Roberts signs on as a new associate to HRG.

Will you participate in the Heroes Experience (kind of like the Lost online game). They started it last night when HRG gave his card with his corp on it. http://www.primatechpaper.com - Access code is MT36

Your thoughts on the invisible man character. How can/will he help Peter?

When will Hiro find his sword?

I only watched one episode so far, episode 9 I think, but I enjoyed it. I wish I could watch them all online, but my home connection is way too slow and I'm not gonna try it at work.

Will they still be repeating these on Sci-Fi channel on Fridays? I didn't watch it last night, cos I wasn't sure if Eccleston would be on right away or not.

So with Eric Roberts joining, this will make TWO Doctor Who connections with the show. Christopher Eccleston of course played The Doctor in 2005 in the first season of the new series, and Roberts played the Doctors nemesis, The Master, in the 1996 Doctor Who television movie that was aired on FOX (it was hoped to be a pilot for a new series co-produced in the US, but they put it up against the series finale of Roseanne and (surprise, surprise) ended up disappointed in the ratings.)

I'll admit, until this week I never watched this show. But two friends recommended it, so I watched the first episode online... and ended up staying awake all night to catch up. Now I have to say Heroes is on my "don't miss" list.

My question is this: Once Sylar gets the part of the brain that gives people abilities, how does he "absorb" it? Is this something that was pointed out and I just missed it?

His power is that he figures out how things work. He looks at the brain or something and figures out how the power work, and kinda teaches himself that power, I think.

Upcoming season spoilers below. Use your cursor to highlight to get details. It is not very specific but just in case you want total surprise I thought I would be nice.

Some people will be upset (when they learn who dies), sure," says "Heroes" creator and executive producer Tim Kring. "During February sweeps we are going to kill off one of our regulars, someone who has been with the show from the very beginning." Asked if that "regular" is one of the actual heroes, Kring responds, "You know what? I personally never use the term 'hero' because I happen to know that, ultimately, some of the seemingly heroic characters will not be heroic."

Still he hints that we may not be seeing the last of whomever it is that is being knocked off. "But with the ability to bend time and change things, not all of those who are killed are making their last appearance on the show--and we actually do have plans for the character who's dying."

Kring also confirms that Claire will find her biological mom - played by "Nip/Tuck's" Jessalyn Gilsig - in the January 29 episode. "Claire sets out to locate her birth mother and finds her living in a trailer park in an old Airstream. That'll be a shock but the identity of Claire's father will be a bigger shock," he says. He goes on to hint that the revelation of Claire's biological father just might be someone fans are already familiar with. "I'll say no more about that except that the reveal will be a lot of fun for the audience...Claire has to go on the road to find him. Once she meets her true parents, it will become even more important for her to find other people like her."

So is this being considered "season 2" or is 'Godsend' Season 1 episode 12?

I've got my VCR (yes, that's right, I'm still living in the stone ages :P) set to tape it tonight on sci-fi. :)

Too bad I've only seen episode 9. Maybe I ought to try looking up some plot synopses since I don't have fast enough connection to watch online...

No, those were totally Adrian Pasdar's arms in the clip. He's got some explaining to do to his poor, noble, crippled wife.

So obviously Mr. Bennett has cleverly disguised himself as Nathan Petrelli.

Can we please use character names in the discussion? I am terrible about knowing actor names for the characters, so I haven't been able to follow the last 10+ posts!

I think that Claude is Claire's father... the recessive blonde gene thing and all.

I think that there is no Mr. Linderman, and that Japanese woman is actually him.
