I have some questions here:

 

 

1.  Why aren't 3 people trapped?  I thought you said Bear Traps trapped 3 people.

 

2.  Can we release one and keep the other trapped?  Your statement here seems rather ambiguous to me.

We are in a very unique situation.

 

1) We have two players who are confirmed town: MANTIS and WAX PHANTOM (me). (*)

2) PM's are allowed.

3) People have a lot of night actions.

 

The situation is very simple. Those two players can be trusted for 100% (as they are town).

PM's make it possible to share information with them without others knowing. This is important because that makes it possible for everyone to fully reveal (roles, actions) privately and  independently.

 

This is a very powerful tool indeed. As the reveals are made privately and independently, two things are ensured:

 

1) The maffia won't be any wiser.

2) The maffia has a hard time to come up with lies because they cannot rely on information provided by other players.

 

Yes, the maffia can steal pool info and try to come up with claims that migth work. But given the sheer amount of night actions in the game, it is very hard for them to do, if not impossible.

 

Thus, it is of the utmost importance that everyone share every bit of information they have (but as a minimum their nighh actions and roles) with the confirmed town players. it's probably best to put both players on every such reveal. In fact, that is the only possible pro-town behaviour as far as I can see.

 

So please, everyone wake up and start posting. Yes, putting all those pieces together will be hard work, but it is work that me (and MANTIS) will have to do.

 

(*) - MANTIS is confirmed to be played by the same player as JAGUARO, WAX PHANTOM is confirmed by the same player as WEREWOLF. We know that those players are town because they have been lynched and flipped town. I hope that I don't have to quote all the relevant posts, but if needed, I will.

A 1x super role that only has a 33% chance of working doesn't sound plausible to me. It has 33% chance of essentially being game breaking if it works.

I believe the Mummy claim for now. If he was lying then his results would be impossible to fabricate because of how many people they can potentially implicate.

 

Sorry about not being here much the past couple of days. I don't have a ton of time at the moment but will be posting a Jaguaro case when I do.

 

I will quickly mention that Black Knight, Mummy, and Pterodactyl all appear pretty confirmed to me ATM based on their claims, but that will need more analysis later.

I think that unless something bad happened to these 3, then we can assume he's telling the truth. If he was mafia and had a role that could target 3 people, it seems like there would be some sort of negative utility involved.

We should take a good look at who pushed the "holster" agenda yesterday. I'm sure we are going to find misguided townies here, but there must have been some maffia directing it.

 

First of all, it's no use crying over split milk. Might have made this much more clear at night, but I was kind of busy and I thought it was very obvious. Guess I was wrong, especially seeing that I got hardly any PM's on actions being used N3.

 

You see the reason I was so vehemently against holstering is because it limits town info. Having 10 more actions and one more dead townie (especially with that dead townie telling me+MANTIS beforehand what he was gonna do) would have been much, much better than this.

 

Some might say that with only stealing available it made sense to holster because what would be gained from a stealing?

 

More stealing, more actions = more info.

 

Stealing from someone (with either result) could have helped confirm someone's claims (or contradict them).

Stealing from someone and dying might have provided us vital clues to how the game works.

 

Holstering gives zero information. Maffia is a game of information. The more info the town has, the better.

 

Town has just wasted about 8-10 actions that might have given us important clues for a possible townie saved.
