I think it is a great idea. Conflicting claims of an important feature. Someone is lying. Take them both out. If Jag is town, Mantis is pretty much town. If Creeper is town then Mantis is mafia.

I asked a while back if there was any way I could lose control of this account.  DPR said no.

 

Also, not being able to change your password is a pretty standard rule in alt games as it makes it much easier for the mod to do housekeeping after the game.

Mantis's belief that Jaguaro is confirmed town completely contradicts his belief that alts can be stolen.  Finally, all of the speculation about Disguiser type roles is extremely distracting to scumhunting.  Ape was right about these guys.  As for Ghost, I have a mixed read on him and flips on some of the other players should help out with that.

 

Oh, and finally, I know for a fact that at least one townie started this game with a 1x Mirror.  Speculting on what roles would be given to what alignments is useless, especially because faking a one-shot ability is really easy.

I am not going to go through the game believing that all the people who I FOS, are the subject of every cop viewing, and all conveniently come up town.

 

I'm also not going to go through the game rewarding an idiot for purposefully or unknowingly pushing a scum agenda, by derailing all scum hunting. Sometimes the town has to cut bait on bad players, and that's what I'm suggesting we do. Ghost isn't helping put this together, and all the arguing with him, and the illogical nonsense from him is a distraction. Kill him off, and we can again focus on the game. Not his inability to one-up me.

If you guys could lay out your responses in bullet point form or something so everyone can keep track, then that'd be great. I don't know if the way they do it on JN is back and forth insult until someone cracks but I don't see anything accomplished by arguing about who is the bigger jackass. If you make a case and someone didn't understand it it's more than likely because your ass didn't make it clear.

The amount of cop views in this game are ridiculous. I can work out what a Mirror does.. but incase I happen to be retarded.. can someone clarify exactly what it does?

Mod has told me that there are only 1 shot abilities in this game.

Actually, you know what, it makes more sense to vote Manits over Jag because Mantis is the one claiming to have viewed him. You see Mr. Wax Man, I don't know which of these two are telling the truth yet, so I'm happy keeping my votes on both of them until it becomes clear. Heck, we can do one then the other just to make sure. No need to die at the exact same time, but the pressure is worth having.

I used my "stolen" cop view on Ghost last night. Ghost is Town.

What do you mean with "stolen"? You failed to stead yesterday, right?

Right. I was unable to steal anything from TBK N1. That was obviously before I knew that there were other thieves in the game. I thought that if I could steal his ability, that would prove he was a tracker. If I didn't steal an ability, he was lying and obviously scum.

 

As the events of Day 2 unfolded I realized that there were multiple thieves out there. I also realized that I couldn't steal a role that was already being used. Finally, I realized that I needed to protect my cop ability so I claimed my 1x Cop ability was stolen yesterday to make myself a less attractive target last night and also less likely to be RBed if that power were in the game.

 

So I didn't have my cop power stolen. I used that power on Ghost. I used that power on Ghost because he was the TBK wagon I countered.

I don't buy this. For various reasons, not the least of which being that you contradict yourself every other page.

I realize this is a little confusing. Mantis is a confusing concept. The only thing that matters is that I know with certainty that he is Town and Mantis knows with certainty that I am Town.

 

I'm going to give you two scenarios for what's going on. One is true. The other is a deception. Neither of these scenarios affects the information being shared.

 

1. Mantis came up with the idea to claim that my Cop role had been stolen once we realized that there were other thieves. This was before we knew that if I used the role it couldn't be stolen from me. At that point, there was really no reason to go back and clear that up. So I used my cop ability last night and claimed my result.

 

2. Then again, this could all be a lie to cover for the person who actually stole from me. In that case, Mantis would also know who stole from me. I would only know who stole from me if the person who stole from me PMed me to tell me they stole from me. In this case, that person would have also PMed me the cop result and I would have shared that cop result with the Town.

And if Mantis is so town then why do you keep distancing from him more and more? You're relying on his claim to vet you Nd it's negatively impacting your game. That isn't a two way street, mafia could claim it on a townie and then kill that townie to look better. Actually..
