Hey guys I just wanted to give a shoutout to a webseries I really enjoy called All Your History

It's produced by Machinima and it's basically a show that does documentaries about things relating to the gaming industry

They do things from specific video games to game studios to specific people in the gaming industry to entire genres

The shows are really well done and not over the top at all

They always include a ton of interesting facts and trivia bits

It's just really cool and if it sounds like something you would like I think you should check it out

If anyone else watches this, which topic was your favorite? I think I liked the one about Prince of Persia the best actually because I didn't know a lot about the series having never played it before. I didn't realize it was actually an older series that's been around for awhile and I didn't know Assassins Creed spawned off it either. Just really cool stuff.

All Your History was shut down the other day. I guess the writer and the old narrator left the show and a new guy took over. A lot of people overreacted because they missed the old narrator's voice but there were definitely legitimate complaints about the new direction the show took. It felt like the show sold out and became aimed at selling viewers whatever was the big upcoming title rather than an actual retrospective look at games of the past and the industry. Really sad how it turned out but the quality is definitely there up until season 5. If you like gaming and want to know some interesting tidbits about a certain series or genre check out the subjects they've covered and see if yours is there. It really was a great show.
