This Moridin train built really fast. Infact the last 4 votes on him all came within the span of an 2 hours.

Graendal, calling youself a townie doesnt mean you are one. Ive seen, and been, the scum try and disregard such votes by saying "Im a town and I am selfless. I am willing to take one for the team." Before. Along with the fact that you suddenly arnt going to defend against that "silly" vote when you have been responding to most everything said against you up till now reeks.

Vote Graendal.

Ok this is the kind of post that merits response. I said it because I'm pretty sure I handed town atleast 1 scum if not 2, I have no reason to fear a day 1 lynch. My death will give the town lots of info on other people if necessary I will bite the bullet for the town, it will put us down one but it's not a big loss. There was no reason to defend against that vote because it had no basis in anything. Do you really think I would have let the entire scum team bandwagon someone I was casing hard? Not likely. I am leaning more towards SH after the bandwagon, but this could be a scum ploy to make us think we are running up a townie so for the moment I will leave my vote where it is at the moment and see what happens when Moridin gets on.

Normally I would call someone out for trying to protect someone who is town to seem more town, but Moridin's arguments have been true and I haven't seen much in that that seems like scum looking for a way to protect town. However, it could be that he sees an illegitimate case on a townie and wants to take advantage of that in a different way while his teammates take advantage in the normal way while still distancing. Right now, i will hold off on the Moridin WIFOM.

SH's stand: Moridin could be scum or might not. Wonderful deduction skills.

Hey, I don't think he's third party. :)

No, but on a serious note, I think that what Moridin has done so far is more WIFOM than anything. I think you guys are looking at one side only, which may be legitimate, but you are completely forgetting the possibility that he is an honest townie who is helping out another townie.

SH's stand: Leaning more towards Moridin being town. Why? There's less than an hour between those two posts and Moridin didn't post anything in between. So what changed?

I am also disconcerted by the speed of this train, if Moridin turns out to be town, I will be 100% sure that there are some scum on this train, if he's not, some scum may be on it to distance themselves, but they will most likely be later votes that happened around now.

I'm really not liking this comment. It stinks. You can't be 100% of anything unless you know more than you claim. Plus you're trying to put the heat on people who vote later for him, which translates to you trying to scare off other players from voting him OR you're trying to protect one of the first voters by putting the suspicion on the later voters.

I think you know what Moridin is going to flip if we lynch him and I think all your comments are preparing the ground for tomorrow for you to pull out a gigantic 'I told you so' to gain back some credibility. Either way we have a lot to gain from your coroner report.

I'm going to stick with Moridin. While I agree that there has been a lot of flailing on SH's part, I'm not completely sold that it's because he's scum. On the other hand, Moridin's white-knight act rings more like a "Casper, the Friendly Scum" thing to me. I think that both are viable candidates for lynching, but I'm still more sold on Moridin than I am on SH.

*lounges in his throne*

I'm baaack! And more interesting than ever. This whole reincarnation process is really, really trippy, 'ya know?

I am also disconcerted by the speed of this train, if Moridin turns out to be town, I will be 100% sure that there are some scum on this train, if he's not, some scum may be on it to distance themselves, but they will most likely be later votes that happened around now.

Vote SH

I won't even comment on SH's comment, other than to say that SH's powers of deduction are utterly amazing. *sarcasm voice*

I'm getting the same vibe that Cyndane is here - that Rand knows more than he's telling.

Lynch SH, then Moridin. Moridin is either defending a buddy or defending an unknown entity way too hard.

On second thought, that doesn't make sense. We can deal with SH later.

Unvote: Vote Moridin.

Your powers of deduction are also most astute. *cue sarcasm voice*

First, you're in favor of lynching SH to see whether it can tell about Moridin, then you flip to say lynch Moridin, then SH. Why are you tying them together like they're two peas in a pod? It's almost as if you've got it set in your head that they've gotta be teammates without stopping to consider the alternatives. And your willingness to give SH an "I won't come after you 'til tomorrow card" is pinging majorly right about now.

Dunno if Red's moved my vote or not cuz of the replacement, but I like it right where it was. Vote: SH (or Rand or whatevs you wanna call him)

Posted

I just find both equally scumtastic. I'm not tying them together.

Lynch SH because his odd reactions to posting with the wrong account.

He started flailing plain and simple.

He coulda just been like FML, and called it good, but instead tried to say Rand was trying to incriminate him.

Lynch Moridin because he's defending too hardcore for any town to do on Day 1. I am not suggesting SH lynch will tell us more about Moridin.

I'm also not saying SH gets a free card till tomorrow. I'm just saying I think Moridin is a better candidate for now though I'm okay with SH as well.

Asmodean v.2 checking in.

A clever mafia might predict a day 1 flub from SH and be ready to rush in to defend him. I see no other reason for Moridin to stick his neck out like he did. My bet is that SH is not mafia - no mafia team is going to risk 2 players on day 1 - and that Moridin got greedy and sloppy in jumping in there to try and boost his town cred.

Still not at a computer. I like the Moridin train. I don't know what Cyndane et al are playing at, voting SH. The case for Moridin is heavily contingent on the way he defended SH after his flub. You can't separate them, according to that reasoning. To vote SH now is to try to derail the lynch.

The only way SH and M could be town is if they were masons. However, I'm not going to play that game. Lynch ahoy!

Correction. To vote SH now is to have a mind of my own. But feel free to fall in where the majority goes. It is the safest play, after all. I'm gonna stick to who pings me most, if that's okay? And that's SH right now, whether you agree with me or not.

First of all, Asmo, you should probably bold your vote.

Normally I would call someone out for trying to protect someone who is town to seem more town, but Moridin's arguments have been true and I haven't seen much in that that seems like scum looking for a way to protect town. SH's stand: Moridin could be scum or might not. Wonderful deduction skills.

My point in this was more to say that there was a lot of WIFOM in this.

I was saying that everyone else was just looking at one side, I never said that I agreed with one side more, I was pointing out that other people weren't considering the second aspect as much.

I am also disconcerted by the speed of this train, if Moridin turns out to be town, I will be 100% sure that there are some scum on this train, if he's not, some scum may be on it to distance themselves, but they will most likely be later votes that happened around now.

Actually, for the first possibility, I was putting heat on all the votes, not just the ones coming up, and for the second possibility, I was talking more of votes that had already happened instead of the ones that were about to happen. And the possibility of the whole scum team not being on a townie train that seems good is so small that I said 100%, but you are right, almost 100% would be more accurate, that was a little bit exaggerated.

I think you know what Moridin is going to flip if we lynch him and I think all your comments are preparing the ground for tomorrow for you to pull out a gigantic 'I told you so' to gain back some credibility. Either way we have a lot to gain from your coroner report.

Actually, I haven't exactly been in support of Moridin either and have been saying that he is more WIFOM than anything. I'm most likely not going to pull out an I told you so tomorrow unless something else happens.

Close enough. Didn't want it to come to this but L2 is too close for comfort.

I'm the Doc. Carry on.

I know I feel better now.

You're the Doc, so naturally you decided to jump into a little day 1 controversy. Got it. It's funny, most Docs, or any town power roles, would have a problem opening up a game by sticking up for a player that they know nothing about and risking this kind of attention and potential damage to the town.
