Up until this post, Lanny, I was planning to vote for Belal. This is not the way to convince people that you're innocent. "Voting for me makes you scum" is not a valid argument, ever. Halima is voting for you, and she is pretty much confirmed innocent. This is a scare tactic, and one that I'm not going to fall for. Vote Lanfear.

 

I'm starting to really not like this post. Mischaracterisation of what Lanfear said to justify his vote.

 

It's a deadline game, not a hammer game. I wanted to gauge Lanfear's reaction to having the third vote. She didn't flail too badly, from what I read, just demanded reasons from everybody. That's acceptable to me.

 

I still don't care for the way it came off, though. Unvote Lanfear for now.

 

 

I'm only stuck on the meta-gaming (let's just agree to disagree on this one) because you were handed a difficult position. The player before you came in was inactive, so there is nothing to work with except what you've done. I can understand where you are coming from; if this was a non-alt game, I would be pushing for your lynch because the mod chose to replace a completely silent player after four or five game days instead of modkilling them. That is not a good enough reason for me in an alt game, though.

 

Basically, you're pinging because you, in my mind, mishandled the transition.

 

To be honest, I wish I would have found something on Lanfear that bothered me. I agree that my case against Belal is not the strongest, but it's all I have right now. It's also why I'm hoping that there will be more conversation; I want people to pick apart my arguments and present better ones.

 

This post is also off. Since when was mishandling replacing as an alt scummy? In my opinion, it's fair enough to mention that you were a player previously in the game. Were this not an alt game, it wouldn't be an issue. Mishandling a transition ain't scummy; having screwy reasons for lynching town is.

 

I also don't get the 'I wish I could find Lanfear scummy' part. If he were town, he should have no trouble imagining anybody else as scum. Suggests to me that he's not.

 

I didn't speak very clearly here. I meant that all of Belal's scum tells can be explained by him either being scum or by him messing up the transition into the Belal alt. I disagree with the 'mentioning that you were a player' thing, though. The idea behind alts is to eliminate the meta-game. Otherwise, what's the point of them? However, I'm not going to have this argument again; it won't be helpful now.

 

As for the Lanfear part, I reread the thread, looking for what I usually deem to be scum tells, and I didn't hit across anything. That doesn't discount her as scum, it just means that I couldn't find anything that would not require twisting words to make something that even remotely resembled a case. If she's scum, she's played this out beautifully.

I refuse to vote for Be'lal, because I get a gut town read based on their playstyle, which is the same as Mesaana's, who was town. I'm also inclined to think you're town, for reasons stated previously. That leaves Balth. No lynching today won't change any of that... Let's get it over with.

I wasnt trying to gain favor, I was explaining why the play style had suddenly changed. And its not meta if it happened in the damn game! It wasnt mock outrage, just because this is an alt account doesn't mean I dont feel emotions. I was annoyed at it and still am annoyed at his style of play near the end.

I can provide 3 scummy quotes from you to. Your disregarding everything else I have said this game and are pushing with these. Now if you want to call being careful being wishy washy then fine, so be it. As long as town wins this game I dont care what you say or call me at this point.

 

We got lucky that it was no lynch. Balth knew his only chance to get out of this and last another day was to vote me and have it go random. He will probably NK Lan because we are at each others throats and it would make me look very scummy. He cant NK Halima because she is the doc ((Protect yourself please. Your the only confirmed townie we have.)) and he cant NK himself. He has the best chance of getting me lynched so by process of elimination Lan is the most likely target tonight to get NKed.
