Asmo spends a lot of time quoting all kinds of posts of mine, without really being clear about what in each post is scummy. Seems like he's trying to setup a case that looks a lot stronger than it is by multiquoting a bunch of stuff. And the things he DID call me out for were either weak reasoning, or completely false, as I've already shown in a couple of examples.

 

Au contraire, I think he's laid his case out very well and explained his train of thought. And I don't see how you've shown anything he's said in his case against you to be"completely false". Maybe "interpreted differently than you would prefer".

 

Oooh one more thing, Asmo's "Well since everyone else seems to think Graen is town, I'll trust everyone else and switch to someone else who is already voting me" is just scummy. As was his attempt to claim credit as the leader on Moridin's lynch. As was his bulldogging of players when we had much better leads as far as scum goes. The proof is in the pudding people. Lynch this cat.

 

This is the one thing that gives me pause right now about Asmo. However, I think his case on Moggy makes a good deal of sense, and I would prefer to get some more clarity on Moridin's D1 interactions. If not Moggy, I'd be willing to vote for SH... however, Moghedien is currently pinging me more.

I really wish we could just lynch SH today. I have seen it before - people get a lot of pressure on day 1 but manage to survive. After that they get forgotten and can easily last to end game. I think that SH would be a good lynch even if it turns out that he is town. I rarely say that but in this game I think it´s true.

Asmo, I don't get your case. It doesn't make sense. You attack her for supporting Graendal, but we don't know that Graendal is scum. I think Moggy's town, myself, and that she was correct to criticise you for the way you were coming across when you had that argument with Graendal. I'm not buying your case.

He said my vote on SH day 1 was admittedly full on meta gaming, which I in fact had never said. I said my vote was mainly to help kickstart the game and get some action going. The other example I gave was how he tried to make it seem like my defense of Graen was scummy, which is ridiculous since we haven't had an alignment flip on her and don't know what she is. My money is still on her being town. Other parts of his case also just straight up didn't make sense. I pointed out how Graen was a hypocrite earlier in the game, yet also defended her later. He said "makes you wonder...". Makes you wonder WHAT? He brings up examples of things that really have no point in being brought up, simply because he was hoping that highlighting a bunch of my behavior would make people think it looked odd. Making a big multiquote case DOES NOT make it a good case. His case was weak, and you buying it just goes to show that you're either mafia trying to help encourage a lynch on a townie, or town who simply doesn't know how to reason well themselves.

Incidentally, since you bring up Moridin, go back and look. I was one of his biggest detractors day 1, and never bought what he was buying. I even thought Graen's reasoning for momentarily letting him off the hook cause of his claim was dumb. In fact, I think if you go back and look at it, you'll see that I was one of the original people who fos'd him for his crazy weak attack on Graendal for "flailing"

Mesaana does still seem uberscummy to me, and altho Asmo seems scummy as well, I think he may just be full of himself and constantly thinks he's onto something when he isn't. If Mesaana ain't scum, my vote is on Asmo tomorrow.

Sorry, RL really blows lately.

 

On a more important note I feel that it's quite odd that it's been days since I questioned Sammael's actions and he has yet to respond to any of my inquiries. I'm not going to place my vote on him today because I very much like to hear what he has to say before that. But I think it's someone to be looked at.

 

I'm not sold on Asmo being scum. I've known players to have his kind of mafia playing. While I don't like it, that's hardly a tell about his alignment.

 

I've taken a closer look at Masaana's posts throughout the game. 3 jokey posts. 13 actual posts, which isn't many. She tries to discredit the train the builds up on Moridin by claiming it happened too fast. But then when Moridin claims doc and gets counterclaimed she says she hopes Moridin is the scum between the two (a comment that was completely unneeded and seemed to have been inserted in for some distancing action).

 

Then Masaana comes up with a fabulous idea of keeping Moridin and Halima alive and having the doc view them during the night to determine who to lynch. Which would both keep the cop from looking elsewhere + making the cop reveal to be able to share his viewing. This is either a very scummy idea or falls under the townie delusional syndrome.

 

 

 

 

I also looked around a bit at Demondred and his interactions. The reason for this is that I saw that he placed a vote on Massana at some point.

 

He first voted jokinly Aginor. Then SH. Then he got serious and voted Masaana because of this:

I do think those who hopped on that train could be looked at closer. They were the first ones to bring a train past the regular 1 or 2 joke votes. Maybe trying to get it to snowball?

 

This post smells like it was picked up off a midden heap. Expressing the sentiment that the first real train is scum-led while saying nothing else.

 

His next move was to argue with Moridin that SH did flail and was indeed suspicious.

The case on Moridin is not bad for D1. What I find interesting is the people trying to tie Moridin and Shaidar Haran together. It is pretty poor scum strategy to openly defend teammates on D1, so I doubt they are both scum. I think an SH or Moridin lynch could prove very enlightening with regards to whoever doesn't get lynched and the people trying to tie them together.

So, then Moridin counterclaims and Demondred unvotes and says: no counterclaims, please.

 

Then what does he do, you ask?

 

He votes Masanna for a second time.

 

 

I am more than happy to discuss the merits of such a claim. Doctor is an exceedingly stupid fake claim for scum to make.

 

Again, feeding town what is not smart for scum to do. While scum is doing JUST that.

 

 

Eventually he unvotes and places his vote on Moridin.

 

 

The next day he votes Graendal for revealing her role on day one. They both argue about it back and forth for quite a few posts.

 

 

 

 

Right now it's a toss up of placing my vote on Masaana or SH. Masanna has acted scummy but on the other hand a known scum voted her twice and only switched to Moridin when pressed to. And with SH there's all the reasons from before of a known scum defending him needlessly. And then we have another known scum telling us what a poor scum strategy it is to protect teammates in such a manner on day 1.

 

 

I'm gonna go with my gut. Vote SH.

At any rate...if you want to lynch me, that's A-OK with me. I think we can afford the loss of a townie right now and it's less of a distraction for people. You can all focus on looking for the real scum instead of wondering if there's one right under your nose, hiding in plain sight. This has been coming for a while now.

 

I don't actually remember for sure when the deadline is, although I do remember it's today, but for some reason I kept thinking yesterday was Thursday so I'm all messed up. Oh, okay, late Thursday evening is deadline, according to Red. Blah.

 

Since it doesn't seem we're gonna get consolidation on any other player and I can see the merit in lynching me... unvote vote SH

 

My thoughts:

 

I'd take a hard look at Mesaana. Just because Demandred voted for her, it doesn't mean she isn't scum. And a lot of other points have been brought against her.

 

Speaking of which, to Mordeth--It occured to me that I neglected to mention one thing I have against Mesaana that also helps me think you were more townie. Mesaana keeps saying you're just jumping on whatever train is longest and that you don't have any thoughts of your own, but you've actually been pretty consistent in voting for me. And on Day 2, I believe, you gave your reasons. So I think Mesaana's full of BS. Mordeth isn't as wishy-washy as Mesaana claims he is.

 

Sammael's another one I'd really take a look at.

 

Everyone else I'm either "meh" or "seems town" on so yeah. Just...good luck, everyone. I think we can do this.

yep we made it through alright. lost power and had a limb go down but no damage to the house or flooding thankfully. stupid power company isn't goign to take the limb down even though its leaning against the flamming power pole and snapped a 1/3rd of the way off. so one good gust of wind and it'll knock inot the pole and likely take our power with it >:( *mumbles*

 

i was able to get on breifly last night, but not enough time to do anything with the game thread, just to post on FB to let everyone know we were alright basically and some wedding stuff (i've foudn my bridesmaid dresses and i'm 98% sure i've found mine. going to Davids Bridal this weekand for the first fittings for my brides maids and if my dress is there i'm gonna have to try it on. btw, i'm goign GOLD!!! while i've suprisingly settled on black dresses for my bridesmaids *giggles like a school girl* i can post picks here if ya'll want to see them lord knows bubbas sick and tiered of hearing about it. seriously though, the dresses are to die for!! so elegant and flowing. and mine is so POUFY!!!!! *sighs* but it needs much more pouf!! but i disgress

 

and today work was super buisy. 3 days off and playing catch up in 4 hours, not good; especially since we wrapped all of the equipment up in bags incase the roof went to prevent water damage to the costly CPUs.

 

 

anyways, enough of my sob story i'll get an updated VC tonight and move this game into night.
