Matt Barlow (Iced Earth)

 

Tim "Ripper" Owens (judas priest/iced earth/etc)

 

Hansi Kursch (Blind Guardian, Demons and Wizards)

 

Who wins and why?

well i can tell you my least favorite of the 3 and thats Ripper Owens, but i cant pick between Barlow and Hansi lol. You just had to make it hard lol.

owens' voice is geared too high.. he cant do lower ranges like barlow or hansi. well

 

i actually didnt think hansi was that great until recently.

but the more i listen to him across the last two albums.. the better i think he is.

certain songs - like ride into obsession - blow me away with his versatility and then you hear him on soft ballads like the bard's song and his voice is awesome etc....

 

have you heard BG's cover of "you're the voice" by john farnham??

anyone who can sing that song as well as hansi did has a phenomenal voice

john farnham has an amazing voice.

 

i dunno who to pick :( its too hard!!
