THE PRESTIGE! (spoilers after the first post)

Ok guys? Who saw it? What do you think? When did you figure things out?

 

I went to see it with my lovely boyfriend... I know I saw a preview for it at least once, but I had no idea what I was in for, I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend it. Go ahead and spoil after this post, I wanna discuss!

I figured out Hugh Jackman's part when I saw the cats and hats.

 

But I didn't expect the Chris Nolan arc at all. It was sursprise at the end when it was revealed.

I like how the preview misled you and made you think Bale was the real magician when all along he was just an illusionist and the Jackman became the real wizard because he became obsessed. I figured out the very end during the cat and hat scene, because I figured the start of the film was important in same way (I know Nolan by now).

 

I really really liked how Nolan tied things together. The dup Bale that loved his wife, that hung herself because the other Bale didn't really love the wife, then the dup Bale that loved his wife was hung for killing Jackman. Jackman's wife drowns, and the dup Jackman's all drown as well. Remember in the start when Jackman tries to drown himself in the sink. The whole movie was tied together. This might be one for my collection one day. Especially as it was a date movie with the hot Yveva.
