Well at least in POTC 4. Here is the article (I like how they call his role a minor one).

 

According to WENN, Orlando Bloom's character, Will Turner, will be killed off in the fourth installment of the Disney series PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN.

 

"The script for the fourth Pirates movie is being worked on and all the finances are in place but it was decided Bloom's character and a number of

 

minor roles were not necessary to ensure it would be yet another box office smash for Disney," said a Disney insider to The Daily Star Sunday, a British tabloid.

 

 

At this point I would chalk this up to mere speculation, but what do I know!

I like Orlando Bloom's acting... most of the time. I figure it's not his fault that he's given crappy lines.

 

Then again, I think Will Turner is supposed to be an annoying character. Won't be sad to see his demise except that it means he and Elisabeth won't live happily ever after :cry:

I really can't stand Orlando Bloom. I can almost stand him in PotC because his "acting" almost sorta kinda is what the character requires, but Kindom of Heaven? In the name of all that's holy STAB ME IN THE EYES if I have to watch that again.
