Wow did they cover so much but was it good?

1. Starbuck has a kid.. or does she?

2. Sharon back in the fold, can we trust her?

3. Roslin dead? I mean come on she just kicked cancer.

What other things can we discuss?[/code]

We hosted a toast party in honor of the premiere.

I'm just in shock. Its still BSG and still awesome, but its light years away from the show we left behind. All the characters are going to very dark places right now. Tigh seems to have gone a little crazy while in prison. I don't think Roslin is dead. My theory is that Zarek shielded her from the death squad.

I'm pretty sure that Casey can't be Starbuck's. A) she looks too old. B) Why on Earth would they entrust one of their precious Cybrids to someone who might injure or neglect it? Casey is either fully human or fully Cylon. Besides, having another Cybrid negates the specialness of Hera.

Oooh...And we had a serious, thoughtful discussion on the ethics of suicide bombing.

Cylon models so far:

1. Six (Gina; others copies; model # 6)

2. Aaron Doral (guide on BSG; other copies; model # 5)

3. Boomer/Sharon (other copies; model # 8)

4. Leobon Conoy (died in ammo depot; other copies; no model #)

5. Simon (M.D. who worked on Kara at the baby farm; no model #)

6. D'Anna Biers (Lucy Lawless; other copies; model # 3)

7. Brother Cavell (Dean Stockwell; others; no model #)

I think we can safely rule out the Colonels wife after this week's episode. Who else looks supsicious?

My guesses on "safe" people on the show are:

The Adamas (both), Former President Roslin, Tom Zarek, Starbuck, Ellen Tigh, possibly Chief and/or Helo and finally Your President, Doctor Gaius Baltar.

These people I hope are not Cylons. Some of them are just important to the crew and if they were Cylons, they've had plently of big life-decision moments they should have turned at by now. And Ellen is just so much more interesting if she is a flawed human whose bad decisions were what was keeping Colonel Tigh in trouble than if she was just a toaster.

Anyways, I think those people are all safe because they are more interesting as humans and not robots. Everyone else is fair game in my eyes though.

Well I take her off the list due to the argument she had with Sharon where no one else was looking. If she were a toaster, they would have been friendly....

mmmmmmmm... maybe too friendly... grrroowwll

What?

And why do you think that? Because he keeps saving the human race with his decisions and actions? I mean if he is a cylon, he is DEEP undercover. I guess Sharon shooting him was to throw people off the trail too.

No Adama is not a toaster. If we go that route, then his son can't be a toaster either.

I think at this point we can safely rule out major characters suddenly revealing themselves as Cylons. If they do retcon an existing to character to be a Cylon, it'll probably be someone minor, like Jammer.

Yeah, Jammer's likely not one. Though the Cylons are so clueless as to guessing human motivations, they might think its a good idea. Father Alon's rant about being left in the sun to die painfully by the people he tried to execute pretty much proves that. "Oooh! Everyone's going to think this Colonial Gestapo is so awesome we'll need to infiltrate it just to keep tabs on it!" *high fives*

Tory, Roslin's new assistant is my next candidate for Cylonhood. She's totally a robot.

Wouldn't he be able to come back and say who left him there to die. He should know that the Chief is one of the insurgents and take care of business.

Any thoughts on the sheer badassery that was last night? Dear god, I honestly thought Galactica wouldn't make it. But then Lee manned up and came to the rescue.

And the final demise of Ellen Tigh was heartbreaking. He's probably going to be full on crazy after that. Along with Starbuck, who is also stone cold.

Sorry I just watched the episode today and let me say... wait for it....

OH MY FRACKING GOD!

I was losing faith in the show until this episode. The battle scenes, the killing off of...well... a somewhat major character, everything came together and they off that planet.

The big topic of debate around teh intarweb is who is the legitamite civilan authority in the fleet. Despite Laura "That's my ride!" Roslin seemingly taking command, legally she isn't isn't the President anymore. Tom Zarek was Baltar's VP, so its likely he should be in command. However, Zarek mentioned that he refused to work with Baltar's collaborating government and that's what earned him a place on the death list. So it's very possible that there is no legal civilian authority right now, which might explain why Zarek was so willing to let her commander Colonial One during the evacuation. Constitutionally, it doesn't belong to either of them, yet Roslin has proven herself to be the best choice.

Either way, it was damn good to see her sitting in HER chair again. Roslin belongs on Colonial One.

Oh yeah, I noticed how she just took over. I bet we will have another set of elections.

So where is Baltar going? How many humans are left? And thank goodness Starbuck doesn't have a kid.

My guess is that the human population is probably down to about 40,000 right now. There were people who died during the Occupation, and I'm sure more died during the evacuation. We won't know for sure until the whiteboard gets up and running again.

It looks like Baltar is going to be living among the Cylons, ala the original series. I'm VERY intrigued by that. I'm amazed that they decided to keep him, but as Xenabot said, he was right. I think they'll be expecting him to offer insight on how and why humans act the way they do. They were completely clueless about how they would be received on New Caprica. "You committed genocide on our people? And now you want to be buddies? Awesome!" So I can see them expecting Baltar to help them plan their revenge. But will he go along with it?

Hmmm, I thought he would be more involved with the baby. I do not think he will be with the Cylons long and he will redeem himself by stealing the baby and going back to BSG.

Oh yeah. He'll definitely want to have a role in rearing Hera. But how much will Xenabot actually allow him to have? She seems sort of crazy, what with the whole "I had dreams" business. She has become so desperate to experience love, that its consumed her.

And how will Baltar explain his interest in the baby to Caprica Six? "Well, you see there's this OTHER version of you that's been haunting me since you wiped out my planet. Sometimes she beats me up. She told me she was a chip implanted in my head, then that she was an Angel. We have sex, in my head, all the time. Anyways, she told me ALL about this baby and how I'm its real father and she's its real mother, and um..."

Then again, this is Caprica Six. She's likely to say "Holy shit! You TOO? Only mine's an evil(er) version of YOU!"
