A Kind Hello

Hello fellow WoT fans!

 

I've been looking for a place to come and get my WoT RP on for quite some time now. Actually, for the last 5 years!!

 

The last WoT RP site I was at was The Shining Threads WoT RP group where I just joined for a couple of months before the site closed down. Bummer!

 

I love the WoT books, and they have had me enthralled for the past 7 years or so, and they have inspired me and changed me in ways that I never knew books could! I am an avid fantasy fan, with my tied favourite authors being RJ and David Gemmell. I've just realised that Towers of Midnight came out last year!! So I grabbed it on Saturday and was finished it on Sunday. Now that I have been revitalised by the latest epic installment, I'm looking for a place to get a WoT RP fix, and I'm hoping this place is it!!!

 

So I'll say a great big scottish hello and hope I can meet some avid RP'ers like me!

Well, at Shining Threads I RP'ed a minor nobleman from Mayene who travelled to the White Tower in search of a poor girl who had shown him there was more to life than the arrogance of nobility, and ended up becoming a Gaidin In Training, which was pretty fun!

 

I've written some short stories in the WoT-verse from the point of view of a Wolfkin and Ashaman, and I really liked what I came up with, so maybe I'll try some of them out. My favourite character from the Books has to be Perrin, closely followed by Lan then Thom and ToM Rand, so I might try my hand at a Gleeman with a dark and dirty past who discovers he can channel, making use of his natural talent while trying to avoid the Black Tower and the Red Ajah, and see what sort of trouble he can get himself into! The only danger is staying away from following Thom's storylines.

 

And already as I'm typing it up, intricate background details are popping up in my head! So many possibilities. I'll need to do som more looking at the Portal Stone World of this sites RP but am well up for some good ol RP now!
