Long lost words whisper slowly to me

Still can't find what keeps me here

Tossing and turning, it was all she could do amoung the soft Andorian silks that covered her large four poster bed. Darkness wrapped around her large suite, blanketing it with a false security, one that caused her to only guess at the natured behind her thoughts, these odd nagging fears that seemed to have no relevance to her being there. To the fears that wanted to break free.

When all this time I've been so hollow inside

I know you're still there

She woulnd't let that part of her burn away what needed to be done. Firm resolve kept her in her bed. The shadow will not take her, light bless her, but fear came easy this night, although rumours were quiet. But it was only an Eye before the storm. It was no foretelling. That was just the way it was. There would be nothing to stop it. And she only feared what would be lost, and at what price.

Watching me, wanting me

I can feel you pull me down

Fearing you, loving you

I won't let you pull me down

The Aes Sedai sat up, staring out into the night from her large windows high within the Tower walls. The moons glow hidden behind foreboding clouds, just beyond reach were the comforts of it's eyes. Turned away. Maegan only looked on with blind eyes that, as always, revealed nothing. Just as it always was done.

Hunting you, I can smell you - alive

Your heart pounding in my head

Laying back and placing her head on the pillow, She closed her eyes listening to the sound of her own heart beat. The night grew on and rain descended, covering the Tower and all that surrounded in a sheet of rain. waiting for the next day to arrive.

Watching me, wanting me

I can feel you pull me down

Saving me, raping me, watching me

I've lost something important because of small things

The cold ring showed its glimmer to me

I said, "All I need is today," but that wasn't the case

The door to you vanished without a sound

I wanted to become the only one who can heal you,

who is needed by everyone,

and I've endured it a little too much

She sat at her desk again. She always sat there, toiling with new devices, letters within and words to distant places and people. Detached from where the world around her grew. The letter that slipped under the door was no different then the letters on her desk. Or so Maegan had first thought.

I regret to inform you of the loss of your Sister' date=' Almay MerCade Sedai of the Red Ajah. She was poisoned and was beyond the the touch of our best herbalists. I require an immediate response at your soonest convenience. I deepest condolences on your loss.

In the Light,

"Or maybe not..." Maegan muttered a little under her breath, re-reading the letter a thousand times through her spectacles. Closing her eyes and rubbing her nose, she leaned back in her chair to think for a moment. Almay was dead. Poisoned. Meaning Murder. Someone was either after her individually or someone was against the Aes Sedai. The Tower. Foul play, perhaps. SItting back in her chair, maegan started to pen a quick letter back to send by Falcon and then two other letters to Leona and Perine Sedai. Both of which had some relation to the Aes Sedai, or knowledge of her and were also readily able to leave the Tower. Maegan paused in mid thought -- Did they really? Either way, they were the first two Sisters that came to mind that she trusted. And Perine needed to know of Almay's death and make the proper arrangements. Items needed to be gathered and the rest of the Sisters needed to learn of this. But that could be left until later. Until they knew for sure what had happened.

Within the fortnight they needed to leave. A mission to learn the truth behind Almay's Death.

Light, she was going to miss Almay's spirit. She was a good sister.
