Rand's Death

Does anyone else think that Rand's impending doom, might have something to do with the fact that both he and LTT are inhabiting the same body?

My theory is that yes he may be killed in the last battle, however it is fought for him, but that when he dies LTT will be killed, and out of the shadows and dust of the newly resealed prison, or the creation of the new prison, or the death of the DO or whatever happens. Rand will be found still clinging to life, but minus one extra voice in his head? Just a theory add your own.

If you look around a bit on these boards you will find that this has indeed been discussed several times before.

That said, I disagree, and I would be very disappointed if Rand does not die, without any miraculous brought-back-to-life-incident. I'm bloodthirsty like that, and Rand tops my list of good guys I want to see throughly dead.

Oh Rand will die there's no doubt about that. (Re-read Shadow Rising). The question is how thoroughly will he die? (Re-read Winter's Heart and Knife of Dreams).

On that topic who else do you think will die in the finial book? I can't honestly believe RJ won't kill off anyone else.

Well I'm thinking that Perrin and Mat will probably survive. But I'm thinking that Mat's going to lose an eye. And you're right there is an absolute that Rand will die. After viewing a few other theories that are more flushed out, there is no doubt he will die.

But as to who else. I'm thinking that Cadsuane will die, but Moiraine will take her place as that awe inspiring Aes Sedai, and between her and the other Aes Sedai (Egwene, Elayne, Suine, Leane) They'll rebuild the white tower, I'm certain that it will be broken over this next book, and I'm not talking symbolically broken as it is now, with rebels and Aes Sedai loyal to Eliada. But I mean crushed to rubble. I think that would be cool.

If during the last battle, everything that gave people symbols was destroyed. Say Rand dies, aww, sadness. But then I think the ending chapter of the book is going to be something like all these people, who've had a truce going to fight Tarmon Gaidon, will turn around and make a more permanant truce, and begin rebuilding together. That's what I think is going to happen.
